I first saw this movie in High School when it first came out and never payed attention to the UI's and commands in the movie. Since then, I've learned so much and immediately noticed the Unix commands. Thank you for being the one of the few comments to actually point this out.

The look on Cillian Murphy's face at 3:17. He realized instantly they got hacked. Man, I want to see him come back as Edward Dillinger in the sequel and face off against Sam Flynn if Sam is in it.
I'd prefer if Ed Dillinger turns out to be a heroic character. Or at least, a villain who has a redemption arc. Just to sort of show that the sins of the father don't reflect on the son, regardless of whether your father is a Dillinger or a Flynn.

Despite being a lot of money to some it’s still small fry to studios. They did do An animated show that I believed served as a prequel to the film. There has been push to get a tron sequel for along time. Even Olivia Wilde has said that the film project is in limbo currently
Definitely in a home theater! A couple cousins of mine live in Illinois in the suburbs, and they have a home theater. I watched this movie in it, and it was a thrilling ride!

If he was the biggest shareholder and they answer to him why did he have to break in? Shouldn't he have passwords n shit? He can't just walk in? He just needed to show the guard his identity... I'm confused why did he break in 😂
in retrospect, this movie had a lot going for it - too bad they just made it a blade runner knockoff...slow, prodding, boring stilted dialogue and a whole lot of effects that said 'meh'...
The first hour of this movie is some of the best science fiction I’ve ever seen.

I appreciated the use of real Unix command line operations in this film instead of the typical Hollywood BS.

I thought Dillinger would be a very tough enemy on the sequel. He's the same age as Sam and he knows a lot about programming.
It's hard in some ways to believe this is by the same guy who did Top Gun: Maverick.
