I visited Vermont a few weeks ago but I want to visit again in the fall! I see everyone visits Stowe but I highly recommend Shelburne as well. Shelburne Farms was stunning!

In Stowe now. Ditto all you covered less the colorful leaves. No lines or reservations needed this time of year but the traffic is still challenging. FYI: it's l "ah" ger, as opposed to ale. Some of the best at Trapps. Cheers.

I've done soooo much planning and research to hopefully time the fall foliage just right! I am glad I didn't go in 2023 because I heard it wasn't a great year! You mentioned that you’re from NorCal, we’re from NorCal too, just wondering what airport did you guys arrive to from SFO or SAC? Thank you. We are planning to visit Vermont this coming fall and we have no idea which airport to take from SFO that is closest to Vermont.
Oh cool! We flew from San Francisco to Boston for this trip. From there we took a car to Bar Harbor, then New Hampshire, then Vermont, then Connecticut, and finally Rhode Island before we returned home via Boston. It was much cheaper for us this way!
Great but hard question. Our top 3 are Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, but if we could only pick two, it would be New Hampshire and Vermont. Riding down the Kancamagus Highway was an experience unlike any other we’ve had, and we also loved Stowe!
