    An important question for all of you: *in future videos, should we remove the background music?* Please tell us here in the comment section! Check our video where we cover other regions of southern Italy here: ua-cam.com/video/FYHo1vSEZtM/v-deo.htmlsi=Aj9Uib8NoGecVn4n The method I use to learn new languages which I recommend is this one (by using this link we both get a Bonus!): www.lingq.com/?referral=LevideSouza

      I don't think the music adds anything to the presentation. I would recommend removing it from future videos.

    I believe there is a shortage of water in Sicily especially Agrigento. This has always been an ongoing problem.

    I am told that there is only so much local availability of milk, and milk is the main ingredient of cheese and most of the milk is used for the cheese making. I don’t know this for sure as it is here say to me, however it does make sense since a lot of the great cheeses are made locally. As far as some of these commenters saying that the photos are of Venice, they have obviously never been to Messina or Palermo. Just saying.

    I suggest whoever put up this sales video, watch the video of the Agrigento water crisis. It's in Italian so if you don't speak Italian, it's enough to watch the body language of the people and look at the landscape to understand the anguish. There is no water, partly bc 52% is lost from leaky pipelines that have not been maintained by the Comune due to lack of funding, but also due to a drying climate afflicting the whole of Italy, not just Sicily. It can be seen clearly in your own video how dry the landscape is. While produce may be cheap atm, that is about to change drastically as farmers start to abandon their land as their wells dry up. ua-cam.com/video/QOjE8S57AaA/v-deo.html

    Why is there a clip of Venezia in this video of Sicily?

    • @the_expat
      @the_expat  3 місяці тому +1

      It is in the part where I compare the low-density of tourism in Agrigento with "other parts" that are over-explored. No better example than Venezia for tourism over exploration.

    BS -- the language barrier is a deal breaker ! > Old retired people like myself don't need the '''frustration and isolation''' in our old age !!! - - - Young people may be able to deal with it -- but everyday living - street signs - business - names - menus....... all would be a huge pain in the ass - even talking on a phone call !?!? And for a medical emergency (?) - no English speaking Dr.'s ??? - - - Ridiculous to even consider.

    Not everyone wants to move there and buy a house. Some (like us) would be interested in living there for a few months, spending our money to enrich the local economy, and renting a nice apartment. But..... most of the time videos like this just are not interested in pitching to visitors like us. If we aren't planning on moving there forever and buying a home these videos just aren't interested in us. Its a pity really because I think that there are far more possible mid term visitors like us than there are ones that want to move there and buy a home. I think you are completely missing the major source of income.

    • @yvanapantino273
      @yvanapantino273 2 місяці тому +1

      The smartest thing anybody could do is rent before buying in a place one knows nothing about. Italy's drying climate is reaching a crisis point now with a loss of 77% of rainfall and snow melt on the main land and zero water in the Agrigento area in Sicily that this video is marketing real estate to foreigners about.

    • @the_expat
      @the_expat  Місяць тому
