The jr bass anglers is something that me as a kid growing up in the 80s,there wasn't any opportunitys or clubs like that to help get us into fishing at a young age.. This kid is 18. My dad told me 3months before my 18th birthday that he was giving me his car on my birthday. But the kicker I had to out on my 18th birthday .move out .. Lol .these kids got it made .everyone is either hand held on born into something good .especially these days .the times of computers etc. It gets kinda boring listening to these kids sometimes when you ask them where they stsrted. Lol. I think if maybe you stsrted hitting up the local clubs and their anglers it would be a little better turn out with viewers.. Every once in a while it would be cool to see something g different on your program than the overgrown kids that are whoop8ng the field of 12 and 14 yr.olds.. None of these kids ,again ,none of these kids would even be fishing, period ,if it wasn't for the boaters that bust their ass every day . Go to work day in and day out to support their household and pay for their hobby of fishing and then on that little bit of time they have off and thst little bit of mo ey they have leftover ,go out of their way to take these kids out and actualy put them on their boats and put them on the fish .. These kids ain't catching shit unless the boaters are putting them on the fish . So really the real heros and the spotlights of your shows should be focused on the nobody men that do just that.. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but in all reality let's not pretend that these kids would be anything but skateboarding or riding their electric bikes or playing video games at home everyday if it wasn't for the guys That give that time and money to take them out.. It's nit easy to fork up a 100$ to go and let some kids trample all over your boat ..and then when they are done fishing they clean your boat like they wipe their ass.we always have to end up cleaning our boats everytime.because they don't put any effort into it.because like everything in their life ,everything is given to them .hamd held and led to water .I can't remember one time that any kid from the jr bass anglers cleaned my boat at the end of the day to where I didn't have to spend another hr cleaning. That's one reason why I hesitate the last event to help on . Sorry man just telling you how it is.. They don't want to clean your boat they just want to go goof off and do nothing.well except goof off. When it comes to cleaning the boat they are like a bunch of cry babies and they do half ass work..I'm out.. Like your show sometimes . Just being honest.. .
Wow, you sound quite bitter for not being dealt what you perceive a better hand. Sounds like you need to work on yourself to come to terms with being kicked out at 18 and not having an easier childhood/young adulthood. Rather that wasting the time and energy it took you to formulate your thoughts and adding your comments, you could have done something better with your or time or better yet, done something to inspire a young angler. Fact of the matter is, you nor I know anything about the background of these young anglers. We (yes, both you and I) have no idea what type of households they come from. What we do know is that these young anglers love the sport and have leaned into an amazing club and selfless volunteer boaters to help grow the sport with the next generation. This amazing club and group of hard working volunteer boaters donate their time out of the sheer goodness of their heart and are not forced to give it. Why? Because they love and care for the sport and want to see it grow. Caring is sharing! I hope you can find it within yourself to right your ship and use your time for good. You’ll be surprised how amazing it feels when you use your time and resources for good.
Great podcast with another young hammers from San Diego.
