Thats there them ole Strickland Boys! Yall put on a derby and all of that got you 4th ahah! What!? But hey great day on the water, great video and content!
I love watching you guys bro just wanted to mention to you though when you bring fish out of that hot of water and put them in real real cold ice water you can shock them and it does do them harm sometimes they do die great job guys always fun watching you
Thanks for the heads up - and you're definitely right. Generally we throw a bag of ice in there to start the day, and half a bag every few hours if the sun is beating down. I'm guessing we're lowering the temp by 10 degrees and aim to keep it in that feel range.
seems like your club has some crazy good sticks yourself included. Up here in wisco last nights Tuesday nighter was won with over 20lbs. And I got my first win three weeks ago.
Alright Gents! Man, 4th - that very honorable mention but dang, ya know!?! Hot days and extended higher temps gets that water warm (without significant rains!); got them bigger guys hunting for cooler "columns" of water. Let's Gooooooo! Be Safe
@@SBFishing haha, i saw the model number on the rod later in the video after i already commented anyway. just picked one up last week and i've been loving it too! took me 2 years to find one in stock lol
Definitely used to have in the 30-40 boat range early in the season, but always would see a dwindling number by summer. Why do you think we've seen smaller turn out?
Can you still use 2d/down/sidescan? Best way IMO is run mainlake points until you find some with bait and see marks around them....even better than that is if you see bait with giant streaks going through. Note the general depth, and use a bait you can count down and keep in that strike zone.
That one with the eye bulging and stomach pushing out of his mouth can from the deep and you needed to release the nitrogen from his swim bladder. That’s like the bends for us.
Solid bag and a nice early limit! So many fish, the edit showed a fish nearly every cast. Nicely done.
I had to leave a bunch out too. Super fun day, they were biting!

Hey man, great content!

Matt what pound test leader line are you using with the freeloader?
10lb braid to an 8lb fluoro leader.
@@SBFishing thank you. Are you coming to Gaston anytime soon?
Yall had a very solid bag! But keep it up yall are already winners an won’t be too much longer you will win somewhere BIG!
Thanks Jeff 🙌🏼
In the money or not Man you boys smashed em. Do you recall the winning weight?
First was 27.84, second 25.10 and third 24.82. We were close but needed another big one to get a top 3.

My man dude great job and awesome video as always
Awesome video man 🔥🔥🎣🎣
What weight dropshot are you using?
3/16ths
@@SBFishing thank you, yall are drop shot kings. Is that about the only size yall go with?
not to be that dork but what model expride spinning rod are you using? 7'2ML?
Not a dork at all. It’s my fav dropshot rod I ever used
Realized I didn't actually answer your question haha. Yes, 7'2ml!

Your comment section is now international, and interesting! But nice work boys, killing it
And the fastest commenters of all time! Never knew this many ladies were into Jon boat derbies
Wow. A tournament circuit that used to have 40 to 50 boats now has maybe a dozen on a good day. Wonder how that happened.

@@SBFishing Everyone can't afford or won't stoop to running the cheater box.
@@johnsamsky6253 sounds good buddy.
Yup 👌👍🎣
How do you find out if there suspended without livescope? I have livescope but my local tournament banned it

I really can't tell, is this the same guy that runs SB mowing and SB pressure washing?
Different guy, but he's got an awesome channel!
Dang Hammers yawl are.
Is that a livescope on a Jon boat, it cost more than boat. Can't anyone catch a fish on skill and experience anymore.
These guys can't.
That Triton is sexy as hell.
