This was the match was turned around Rafa’s form. If he loses this, who knows what the rest of 2017 looks like. 7 grand slams later, and here we are (hopefully 8 on Sunday 👀)
Nadal beat an out of prime zverev, let that sink in! Rafas 24/7 keep moaning Rafa is injured, out of prime, etc. Here is Zverev, who is not in prime clearly and took it to 5 sets, let that sink in. Its not just Rafa who can be out of prime, Zverev can be out of prime too
I still believe that this was the best match of Zverev in a Grand Slam even though he lost it. Wich is bad, because it means that he hasn't improved significantly since than. On the contrary, he was aggressiv and confindent back than while today he plays passivly and shaky (especially with the second serve which is a total desaster). And now after the injury, Zverev may never peak again. Just sad. Feels like a waste of potential.
Yeah. The way he struck the ball was so confident! He looked nearly invincible in that match. He seemed to bully Nadal around the court for a little bit until the conclusion of the match.
After 2 lean years ,Rafa found his feet back in Slams with this tournament.Thank heavens he didn't go the Murray or Wawrinka way.Of course,he was always the better player than the other two ..
And, yet, Nadal continues to win slams and Zverev has nothing. Zverev was very impressive in this match so his lack of success does surprise me. May be more mental since his physical skills are remarkable.

Zverev is 19 here, now he's 25.
Time flies!
And still 0 slam!!
People often forget the importance of this match in Nadal's career. This was the match that officially marked the revival of Nadal
You will never bore watching rafa
Zverev's forehand looked very different back then

absolutely no chance it would have changed anything lol. level isnt a magical button. he was gonna be back.
@@TheRafaelBond It's about confidence. If he wasn't able to make a comeback in this tournament, he may not have had it in himself to win another slam.
This is honestly an amazing match which I keep forgetting about.
The trio destroyed 2 generations... Lmao
Partidazo. Vamos Rafa en los olimpicos y Us Open. 🏆
Rafa is the goat 🐐
Zverev can steal a set perhaps even two if he plays his best but Rafa cannot be counted out not on clay!!
why are you stating the obvious lol
Zverev will win🤗😘
Who are here after zverev’s injury against Rafa? What a match it would have been! Three hours and just 2 sets.
