Lowest Seating Position in 350z | How to Install: Tillett Seat + Bride LowMax Rail (Season 5 Ep 31)

- I am always looking for the lowest possible seat + seat bracket combo since I have a long torso and sit very high up in cars. In my 350z drift car I hit the ceiling when wearing a helmet even while slouching and hunching over. The BRIDE low max rails always seem to sit the lowest and don't bend/break compared to other brands. I also wanted to try out Tillet seats since they are very bare bones and thin which allow you to sit even lower. After test driving it for 40 minutes around town it was surprisingly very comfortable despite such thin padding.

Interesting video! Good Job. By the way, I mount a lot of seats and seat belts and for safety reasons I highly recommend you make the belts go through the holes in the seat (at the waist level) to ensure maximum safety in the case of a crash. (not trying to be annoying but better safe than sorry)

Is this the regular b6 or the bigger b6 XL , the reason I ask I’m 6 ft and weigh 160. But my hips are pretty big for a skinny guy. The b6 xl is a bit larger for leg room. I wonder which model you have and is it comfortable, I herd this seat is comfortable because of the spine ergonomics.
Are these the normal b6 or the b6 xl???
I wont have headroom issues more like legroom
There is plenty of space to move a seat further back. It just may require some custom seat brackets.
How tall are you? The harness holes on the Tillett still look a bit too low for your shoulders to be safe. This is my biggest fear and why I'm hesitant to order one.
Im 6’0 but the thing is I have a longer torso compared to most other 6’0 people which is why I sit so high in a seat. I have another video coming soon showing my harnesses installed and it seemed to fit pretty well.
@@Riskspeed I'm 6'3 with a longer torso also. I wish there was a showroom somewhere in Southern California. I'm assuming I wouldn't fit but it would be nice to know.
My shoulder height when sitting vertical is about 29". Have you measured yours?

@@Riskspeed The problem with that diagram is the measurement is taken on an angle so it doesn't give you an idea of how long the back of the seat actually is. Maybe when you have a minute you can take a piece of string and measure from the butt pad to the shoulder hole for me?
Also, did you get the regular B6 or the XL?
I use Tillet seats for my go kart seat. Tillett car seats are extremely sexy and slim. Where did you buy this seat in the US? Thanks in advance!
I got it used from someone locally. Tillet’s website should have a list of their US dealers
@@Riskspeed That's very nice. I checked Tillett official website in UK, it shows AMS performance is the car seat dealer for US and their website does not show Tillett seats pictures and price; and only go kart seats for Canada, kind sucks.
Really hoping Tillett opens up more North America market soon.
