Ok good I was thinking of building my new base around c11. I was planning on learning Nordheimer gear the next time I level up. I have been meaning to change stats and I like what you are suggesting. Well David is level 14 and was thinking of heading into the city to learn the map room on my way up.

Go into your settings, then key bindings. Look for a go attack command and find a free key to assign. This will send your thrall to attack any target you are pointing at with the reticule. This will lower the damage on your armour.
Make your feeding your thrall's grilled steak and grul.If you ever get a chance to kill wild boars use a clever on them to get pork once you get that and cook it up you wanna switch the food on your thrall give him cook pork rings and gurl and grilled steak.

You can take horse if you have one and a thrall
Sometimes I leave the horse behind because it is always in the way.
You do need the fridge and the alcohol too and great choice on fireplace and taming pen is a Big deal To have already started
I don't know why I have been holding off on the pen.
Toss food first the fur and hide you will need for steel and fur for cold armor

What level are you?Are you looking to build were you get good purge?
I am around level 53 now. and I started to build on the south edge of the frozen north.
Have you learned healing arrows they will do you and your thrall's some good.

The highlands are good for your level need make a base in tier 2 or 3 material in case you get a purge
