It's probably the biggest game of the year for Aris, Super 3 ultras.
It's the Thessaloniki derby between Aris and PAOK, and they hate each other.
It was the start of the game.
That kind of thing is usually called a chaos tifo when you throw confetti and streamers.
Its about to show who is in charge of the place .
the game starts and ends when we say it starts.
@7:14 you don't need to confused. It's exactly just that what you are seeing. Ares supporters will throw confetti on the pitch when the game starts. That's all. It means that fans are in control of the match. It's war and intimidation.
What you said in the beggining is one of the biggest differences between American and Europe fans. In US people are more fans of players than of teams, it's really common to switch teams only beacuse a player changed the team. In Europe this is inconceivable, if you change your team you will be hated by everyone. I also became a huge fan of the Cavs when I was introduced to the NBA back in 2007 when I was like 10 years old because I loved their jerseys and their badge, and of course because I love LBJ, but when LBJ moved to Miami and Los Angeles I still was a Cavs fan and I will till I die. Europeans can have several girlfriends, vote to different parties, even change their religion in their whole life before changing their team 😂
The home advantage must be massive in these European games. Imagine being a player with that crowd behind you 🤯
look up any time the Liverpool fans are singing You Never Walk Alone at Anfield (their home arena)
and yeah they have an entire song that represents quite a few things, worth looking it up
If a players joins another team in Europe, we don't follow him, we hate him.
The big différence in sports audience between usa and the rest of the world : americans fans dont have spontaneity. Every big thing is organized by the club, so it is more tamed, and most of the time it happens before the game and not during the game.
The dance we saw on the first part of this vid shows it. It is like a lil chorégraphy learned by some primary school pupils, Well rehearsed , to show the parents they did a good job. It is not driven by decades of club culture, passion , indépendance, etc

Just to explain a few things:
First And 2nd European games in the video are Aris vs Paok. Local Greek Derby in Thessaloniki the 2nd biggest city in Greece. Similar Atmosphere it is On football at these games.
3rd game video is Red Star Beligrade vs Cska Moscow for Euroleague. (Cska got out from Euroleague due to War with Ukraine). Red star Beligrade is a well known Serbian Team for their hardcore fans first of all. Partizan the arch enemy of Red star has also really good atmosphere. Last but not least The last team on the video is Panathinaikos and that was at his Latest Euroleague win at 2011 Final vs Barcelona that the final was hosted at 2011 at his home stadium.
Honorable Mentions of Good atmosphere teams (No Order):
Zalgiris Kaunas from Lithuania
Turkish Teams have really good Atmosphere like Galatasaray and Fenerbache (No order to these 2). Efes are slightly quieter.
Virtus Bologna From Italy
Olympiacos Bc arch enemy of Panathinaikos
Partizan from Serbia

There is also an interesting new thing from Euroleague that they count Db on the arena during the game so you can see pretty loud fanbases that I forget to mention. (Euroleague is the biggest European Club Basketball tournament) I mentioned although teams who aren't on Euroleague because they have strong atmosphere in Football for example Galatasaray and Aris BC .
You have to realize that we are a warrior race, it's another level.

The message from the home fans is,This is our castle and you don't belong.
The confetti is arranged and brought by the fans, and is thrown after the chants in the beginning when the game is about to start... Simply as a fuck you to the enemy team, to say F*#% you, we aren't done yet, go home you wont survive here.
At least that is what I got from it.
These atmospheres are mainly rival games, especially Aris-Paok. But also the more important European games.
And it's not all of Europe, it's the Balkan teams, Greek, Turkish, Israel, some Russian. In Spain and France it isn't like that.

Btw it's not setting fires they're flares, commonly used by fans to create atmosphere and intimidate opposing team and fans

WIth this sentence is like saying that Greeks (twice as Macedonians are Greeks - Aris the first video of Europe is located in Thessaloniki which is part of Macedonia area in Greece) and Serbs are the loudest. So phrase it differently dude (in addition you are wrong as then is Turkish, Croatians etc). The "Official" phrasing is Greeks, Serbs and North Macedonians. The correct one is Greeks, Serbs and Skopjans.

I also think that due to USA obesity ... the stadiums are just tame. They can't do very much. When you look at the Ares game ... no one is fat. Hence there is much more energy
Usually people follow and have alot of passion for their city/town club... people dont really follow a single player around like Americans do
