Give me a thumbs up if it brings a tear to your eye watching this? Carl and Dennis on the screen singing lead with the live band on stage playing and singing back up. That is just awesome. I can't wait to see this in person!!!!
There couldn't have been a dry eye in the house. I was crying just watching this video. The BBs were never the same after Denny died and they were even worse off when Carl died. Dennis was the heart of the band, Carl was the soul. Just looking at that screen and hearing Dennis' sweet voice, what a beautiful man, and Carl with his pure voice and a very nice man.I don't know how Brian got out there night after night on stage and without a total meltdown. God bless the Wilsons, forever in my heart!
That's amazing! The starry backdrop behind Carl makes it look as if he's in Heaven singing away, and at one point he even appears to look down on the boys and smile at them. I've been in Heaven every time I hear Carl's voice sing this, from the very first time back in '66. My vote for the best pop record of the 20th Century.
When the Beach Boys played the Puyallup fair back in the early 90s I was there at the show. They were going through a resurgence on popularity. Some hours before the show was scheduled to start I was walking through the area between the grand stand and the main gate when I was halted by a security guard to make way for a limo. And who was in that Limo as it passed by within five feet of where I stood? None other than Carl Wilson. We have shared the same time and space. I am honored!
so fucking beautiful i cant stop from tearing up to see him singing with them and paying there Homage. it must hurt so bad be able to see them and not touch or hold them or be with them again. They brought such beautiful music to us for so many wonderful years. There truly isn't music like this anymore and this music was even before my time :( so beautiful both songs have always been my favorite
I was such a fan of Carl Wilson , ahving the chance to meet him if only for 3-4 minutes. So, I was VERY disappointed to see how his tribute was done. he should have done " Heaven" , from the '86 ABC special , which he did as a tribute to Dennis. That was THE perfect CARL WILSON song. ---------MJL, 76 y/o
I was so blessed to have seen Denny play his last, unbeknownst at the time, LAST CONCERT shortly before he was "removed" ( I HATE that word) from the group because of his demons he couldn't control... But I always felt and thought Dennis WAS like the Lost Beach Boy and if it WASN'T FOR Dennis, I believe with all my heart there never would have been the Beach Boys or at least they wouldn't have been so phenomenal and huge all over the world. Rest in Peace Denny and Carl. xx
Just out of interest, without any agenda to cause any kind of argument, I wondered if anyone here has seen both the Beach boys in this incarnation and Brian Wilson & Band and, if so, who would you recommend? Both projects sound amazing!
They're basically the same band since this lineup of The Beach Boys are mostly made out of Brian's band. Though I'd choose this version of The Beach Boys since you'd get the talented instrumental skills of the band and the authentic vocal sounds of the boys, with everyone on their A-game
What a nice tribute, love The Beach Boys. Check out ours at God Only Knows The Beach Boys (cover) Brian Wilson Carl Wilson Mike Love Al Jardine Bruce Johnston Thanks, Rob.

Funny you should say that because his Mom described Carl's voice that "of an Angel" and she was spot-on!

No dislikes? Yeah, damn right there's no dislikes. No one could ever dislike something as beautiful as this. Six minutes and 12 seconds of heaven.

The Irish Girl Dennis was never “removed”. He died diving off his peer one night after having drunk quite a lot.
Nice to hear Bruce do his part on the coda.
This means so much to me...thank you💕
They mean so much to me
Oh, that is Carl while I was typing my comment I didn't notice they were using his voice.
Nobody could ever do that song justice.
