What he’s trying to get y’all to do is to let your body feel the feeling so that the energy will move through you You need to stop resisting the feeling and trust your body
Thank you, Jim. I will try to practice this with the dizziness I feel all the time. To be ok either way. To not fight against it or focus or panic about it. In the past, I had a major phobia, and one day, I forgot to worry about it! And I had such an easier time (not panicking). I had an ah-ha moment. I was going to be ok whether it happened (my fear) or not. To truly let go of the fear of it and not try to control it anymore. It wasn’t right away, but fairly soon after, the phobia was gone, because I didn’t care anymore. It worked.
Brilliant sir! Thank you so much I can feel the effect already. I meditate through the idea and your voice and I feel instant relief. Thanks again. Please don't remove this video
Thank you-needed this today. I have CFS and they symptoms have gone down a lot with body-mind work but the fatigue remains stubbornly there. I'm going to try accepting it for a week now.
Ha. Yes...Maybe the metaphor is seeing a tiger at a zoo vs in the jungle...Something to be looked upon out of relaxed curiosity vs fear of attack? Put some safety glass between your feelings and your thoughts...
Hi Jim thank you so much for this video 😁 I just have a question/need to clarify about it-with this deep acceptance or feeling of everything being ok, is it still advised or is it counter productive to be using the self talk strategies thru the day aswell, that you talk about in other videos (for instance if you have anxious thoughts coming up or symptoms flaring you have talked about responding to the limbic brain i think, by telling it its safe or to relax or calm down etc) Basically are these 2 different strategies or strategies to use together at the same time thru the day? 😄
Yes good question I get it a lot. you want acceptance when you are doing somatic checking or working with emotions. When it comes to negative beliefs or symptoms or overreactive emotions around the symptoms you want to respond to them to try to down regulate them. Basically when you’re accepting you’re not reacting but you can take another step and respond to it.
@@thepainpt ahhhh thank you !! And for example if you are having thoughts and/or emotions of fear/anxiety about doing a task that usually brings on symptoms-you would respond by talking to your brain and telling it your safe , right? Thank you so much for all the help and advice here and the huge number of people you give your time to replying on this channel, it's truly amazing 🙏
Dear Jim, I have a very short question. Today I was diagnosed with FND, functional Neurological Disorder. She told me that my legs are weak because there is a problem with the communication between my brain and my limbs. My only question is: is this diagnosis also TMS? Because I am devastated since I heard this. Would you please react? I really need reassurance. Thank you so much.
I especially liked your voice in this session because it was more real. In your other sessions it feels like you are deliberately trying to keep your voice calm and because I'm so sensitive I can feel that is not reflecting the true emotions in your body, and therefore it makes me tense!
It’s actually good this is happening for you as it reflects you being OK with what’s happening. I’m usually quite calm my wife is always asking me to speak louder! Sometimes I get riled up though just like anyone else.
Does this work with depression , it feels like if one doesn't fight back it will take over ? . Is it common to feel open, naked and vulnerable , out of my head in the now, when doing this ?. Does this sound right , I'm doing it now during a wave and I feel like a snail out of its shell with a storm in the background ?.
How does this jive with practicing Qigong (I am am instructor and therapist) or even doing yoga? I'm trying to correlate my mindful moving meditation exercise with TMS. Can you help?
@@thepainpt Oh thank you. I've been stressing about this for awhile now, since learning TMS. While practicing the healing sounds with my students, I've been wondering if they are focused too much on healing rather than awareness of emotional blocks. So mostly I have been emphasizing the awareness of sadness, anger, fear, anxiety, and worry and releasing those energies that block the Qi flow. I teach Medical Qigong and find that TMS seems to me to be so Qigong. Just wanted to make sure. My perfectionist coming out.

Like Jon Kabat Zin says, “….cause it’s already here”.
This reminds me of what Ekhart Tolle refers to as surrender. Nice video! Thanks
I need to play this daily. Thanks Jim

Yes it’s about acceptance of what is and reducing stress tension and relaxation of the body so it goes hand in hand
