I have done 3 canes with this, as well as plant knifes, 3 axes. Love it and keep coming back to it. As one wore out( my first trial one) will be redoing it. Love this channel. Thank you for helping a senior citizen try a new hobby with practical use.
This technique absolutely worked! Thank you for the detailed video. I whipped the handle to my daughter's Chinese Broadsword and the grip is much better now.
wrapped my old workingmachete this way …. my son watched me do it and later that day he showed me a knife he wrapped himself :-) ….. PERFECT video to start paracord wrapping …. liked and subscribed !
You don't need to singe the top end. Tighten the finish tag end in the loop and cut the line leaving about 1-2" tag end. Then pull the tag end under the wrap for a cleaner, singeless finish.
Great step by step how-to video and well paced. I followed your video to wrap my oddly angled compound bow grip. Simple and it looks and feels great. Thanks.
Thankyou. I came here looking to handle wrap my Fiskars XA3 and I was surprised the first video that came up was of you wrapping a Fiskars axe. Handles are very alike the size being the only real difference.
I really enjoyed this video, even though I had to turn that music WAY down. I needed a paracord wrap I could do on my knife handle without taking a college course in paracord wrapping, this one, I can do, and will do the trick, thanks again.
Excellent and concise video! I had an idea of the knot and process but couldn't recall the exact details. I'm going to also try this out for replacing twine wrap on cat trees as well.
Thank you for making this, I was thinking of ways to make the grip better on my target compound bow and so far this is the best idea yet!! Can’t wait to try it, thank you soo much!!
Thanks. I needed to make a paracord wrap for the handles of my ammo boxes (Harbor Freight specials) and your video was a very straight forward tutorial on the basic wrap method. Although I (like others have said) had to mute the music.
I have now used this for a cane, but for same brand plant knife, as well as 2 hatches. It’s a great video & a flatter wrap for this particular kind of knife etc. Thank You.
Appreciate your efforts for that simple and easy to understand video. I managed to do this to my own made knife by the help of this video. Keep up the good work. You have a new subscriber.
Nice! I used this technique to wrap a bugle. Left the tails about 2 inches long, and tucked them away in-between the tubing. Then I thoroughly wet the paracord and let it dry. That stiffened and tightened it up very nicely!
@@maaifoediedelarey4335 sorry, that was supposed to be "bank line". (Good old autocorrect). Bank Line is a tarred twine, often used by fishermen when making trot lines. Bank line has a good tensile strength and is much thinner and less bulkier than paracord.
Tarred back line, and jute or sisal are viable alternatives depending on the projects. I use paracord quite a bit, but it can be a bit bulky for certain projects.
Great video. Was able to put a wrap on a flashlight (Sofirn Q8 Pro) of mine. The metal gets a bit too hot to hold without it on higher levels and this seems to have fixed the issue. Lets me use it on a higher brightness without heat being a concern.
CbyS Paracord and More yeah I just got in my new CRKT Woods Chogan Tomahawk and it has a nice long hickory handle and I was searching for idea's on how to wrap the handle....
CbyS Paracord and More yes I just finished it and it looks and performs great. I will upload a video on my channel either tonight or tomorrow and I will tell everyone that I learned it from you and post a link in the description...
Have you tried snipping the top leftover to about an inch, then pulling the end into the wrap using the bottom length? Then use a tool to tuck the bottom end under the wrap as well. Would be cleaner than leaving the end exposed. New to this so just wondering if there's a disadvantage to it.
Nice technique, but can anyone tell me if this is a practical technique if you are in the wilderness and actually need that Paracord? Is it simple enough to unwind (without tools) or is there another method I should be looking for.
Love your Channel! ❤️ any ideas on how I could cover a wooden cross with paracord? I wish to put it outside by the road for a pet Memorial. I was thinking I could just take wood dowels and secure them together with zip ties or whatever, in the shape of a cross. Then cover it. Help. How could I achieve this. Any suggestions would be amazing!
Does anyone know how to remove the cord again? I love how this handle feels and it's super nice to carry some additional cord, but how do I get it removed from that grip after I wrapped it?
@@guitardaddy6 congratulations you played yourself🤣🤣🤣. I have no clue what's going on in your life to be negative online but if you need a buddy and a beer through these hard times I'll buy your first round if your ever in Lancaster PA

I myself prefer the music to verbal instructions since I learn better that way. I have found quite a few videos that have a verbal dialogue instead of musical accompaniment. Perhaps you could check those out

I cannot tell you how many times I used this technique. Outstanding, had hand surgery-side lined a while 👍
