Your so lucky to have such amazing places to fly! I live in Northamptonshire and there’s Naff all. Great little ruins to explore and things to see! I think I I lived up there, my wife would never see me! 😂👍🏻
What I always tell new people is the best way to get over being paranoid or over cautious is to get more stick time. Send it and enjoy the flight. That is really the best way to end the nervous reactions.
Great tips and beautiful location Robert. I think in these (on the move) Sanrio’s I would set the home point to the RC. Can we have some more bagpipe music in future coverage 👍
Well, you have me now, Peter! Any questions you can't find an answer to (or if you'd like to hear my own take) let me know and I'll do what I can to help :)
That is a worthwhile advise for the beginners and useful tips. Scouting ahead is a good idea. Really nice scenery in that location. Drones are such good fun, you can soon get through the batteries so you will need spares. I was flying my mini 2 today in a very windy cemetery with lots of big trees, I got constant wind warnings, my drone coped very well despite the wind shaking it around a bit. As you become more experienced with drones, you learn more about their capabilities.
I have one of the plus batteries for my mini 3 Pro and it's the one I use mainly now. Whenever I switch to the standard battery, it feels like it's going to run out any second!
@@WindsweptRobert I saw your interesting video where you tested this battery. Far better than the standard battery, And it’s better for you As you are flying in the countryside so you don’t need to worry about the extra weight. 👍
Enjoyable vid and scenery Robert, thank you. Now, if you can get hold of the DJI Air 3 and let me know what the software is capable of I'll be a happy man 🙂
Panic when I 1st flew my mini3pro I was constantly updating its homepoint 😂,but manage her bk by working out my position 😮 , now I m practicing hand launches and landings 🎉
I went wandering over fields so green, With my trusty drone, a flying machine. With rucksack on my back, I set out to roam, Exploring the world, finding places unknown. The drone soared above, like a bird in the sky, With a camera lens, it captured sights up high. I marveled at landscapes, nature's design, A symphony of colors, oh, so divine! Through meadows and valleys, my path did wind, As the sun dipped low, leaving daylight behind. But fear not the darkness, for stars lit my way, Guiding me through the night, until break of day. I stumbled upon a hidden waterfall's grace, A shimmering cascade, a magical place. The drone danced around it, a joyful display, While I stood in awe of nature's array. Onward I ventured, with each passing scene, Embracing the beauty, my heart felt serene. The drone and I, a team, exploring as one, Capturing memories beneath the setting sun. As dawn approached, and the journey did close, I returned with stories only my heart knows. For wandering over fields with my drone, Unveiled a world of wonders, where I've grown. So if you ever feel the urge to explore, Take your drone and rucksack, unlock the door. Embark on a quest to discover your own, And let the world's beauty be richly sown.
Great video so when you getting the air 3 😂 anyway are you filming with your 360 camera because the video looked very poor and I seriously considering getting one 😁👍👌🇬🇧
I'd actually advise against getting one and I'll speak a little bit about why on my livestream tomorrow night. I'll also be talking a bit about the Air 3 :)
Loved the landscape scenes and good advice too. What was your reasoning for the RC Pro purchase? Was it purely for extra range over the DJI RC? Disappointing DJI have made the new RC2 (bundled with the Air 3) non backwards compatible. EDIT: Just watched your livestream from last night, all questions re RC Pro and a lot more I hadn't thought of answered! Thank you
RC Pro for the 1000 NITS, the 3rd party apps, the 32GB internal memory, the HDMI out, the 4 antennae, the robust build, the compatibility with the Mini 3 Pro.
Hi Robert, quick question Is there a particular best Free panorama photostitcher that is capable of doing 360 stitching as well panoramas as I would be interested in adding photos on Google Maps etc. any ideas that you could suggest many thanks..
Great vid Robert 👍 I'm thinking about getting a DJI mini 2 se. They are at a good price in Argos at the moment. This is brilliant advice and tips for a new flyer. Just a quick question....does the mini 2 se take a wee SD card for recording the footage? Thanks again Craig. 🙂👍
I'm sure Robert will respond but the answer is yes, there is a slot for an SD card. Make sure you get a fast one that'll handle storing the data without causing a jitter in the video.
The point of the video was to be less cautious, not reckless. If you watched all of it you would have heard me state near the end that you still need to use common sense and take care in windy or potentially rainy situations. I think you're commenting with your opinion after watching half a story...

There are many places to explore here! :)

Loved it, Robert, and the bagpipe music at the end was the icing on the cake!

Stunning scenery. Thanks again Robert.
Another good video Robert
Thanks 👍
Informative video Windy Bob, great peaceful area to walk in.... Poor Lassie home alone 😢
She's at home with Laddie - not alone :)
@@WindsweptRobert... getting spinny with it.....
I see what you did there ;)
Good Video, great tips and awesome scenery Robert. Quite a hike you did, me id need a wee quad bike 😆
I had intended to walk a lot further, but the wind picked up and it looked like rain was incoming.
Got to say what a beautiful place to fly
Aye, it is that :)
Great video, very informative to a newbie, who's yet to make his first flight. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

I’ll see what I can do re the pipes 😁
Good Reassuring advice Robert

I use the app that comes with the Insta 360. I haven’t tried this with still pics yet and don’t know if it’s possible with this app 🙂
Great stuff!
Thanks!
Where in Scotland is this and how far is it from Edinburgh ? Such a wonderful place to send the Drone up :)
It's in East Ayrshire and is approx 2 hours drive from Edinburgh.
Great vid Robert , what editor do you use m8 😉

Throwing it to take off works on the mini 2 and mini se but not on the mini 3
Correct :)
great stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it
More like trying not to scratch the Crown Jewels or love spuds lol 10:10
Those too! 😂
The Mini 3 pro seems like it can almost fly itself without getting into to much trouble. She is a great drone for sure.
She can!
Your a dab hand at walking and flying at the same time
These wee drones make it easy though :)
