Saw all the fighters form up to see them off , was up to 6 back then , now 2-3 :-) Back in the 70 s Taiwan was in the UN . Independent ? X border trade has been affected , mostly from the side of the CCP . Got to see President Lai a few times . Had to use google translate :-) Diplomacy , hmmm :-) The olive branch extended , for the world to see , maybe even in China :-) I grew up with Status Quo , pop band late 60s Birmingham UK Taiwan is a really cool place , folks are very friendly and helpful , why would they want that to change ? And live under the rule of the CCP ? Things were cool until wants to be Mao 101 and take Taiwan . Not for cultural heritage , just as a deep sea port !
