On moves: with his isolated pawn black was practically lost in classical chess. But Mamedov then played selfdestructive Wd4??, which allowed black to push pawn with tempo. Qa4 was normal. Then Mamedov enterprenured himself in further selfdestruction with h4 and f4. What was he thinking? He usually played sneaky style like Georgian truck drivet on restplace or in kantina, but now he played as 1500 ELO rated pensionist in a park. Was it possible that he scared shit of younger chess star in an expensive suit?

h4 and f4 were to dislodge the g5 pawn because it was restricting his knight.

Mamedov has apparently undergone hair transplant last year. The same is waiting for his opponent just around the corner: he could give him some tips. GM without hair cannot be trusted. That's why Bronstein never became world champion. Only player who was geniously bald was the best ever - Bobby, but he won the title while he still had hair.
