This segment took a strange turn quick. I’m 100% against child beauty pageants but this story is about what ever is happening in the adult ones. This was their dream, they won, then they quit leaving a weird secret message hidden in their social media posts. It’s bizarre- Something serious has gone down that’s blocked by their NDAs.
The girl on the left is not wearing much makeup/lipstick today, it would look hypocritical for her to remind viewers that she uses her looks to attract followers in social media.
I am not the biggest fan of Amber... I sometimes have to stop the video ( I use to do this with saagar and then with robbie). I'm glad we all can agree we don't need these pageants. I would also like robbie and Breanna talking about these "fun culture" segments...
Pretty selfish vain move by this attention seeker. She could have NOT participated and let another young woman get the scholarships and opportunities that the title gives. She cares so much about Tegrity that she ran to post about it on social media..
I have a laundry list of reasons I dislike these fashion/pageant industries. ESPECIALLY for children. What troubles me so much, is the sheer imbalance of bulldozer, if not narcissistic mothers, being the ones pushing their children into this so hard. The real hard pusher ones (like you mentioned honey boo boo (never watched but know the stories)). These naive or sometimes toxic mothers, want so badly for their kids to fit into whatever mold so badly, or to live the childhood their parents wished they did (mothers in particular) to which they go to incredibly mentally destructive means of getting their children there. Like you said, their own malice or naivete, gets them caught up in the worst of the worst of the audience, or even core, of these industries. Let your kids grow without such destructive pushes. Keep your kids out of the entertainment industry. CGI and AI can handle child acting from now on. I grew up watching so many child actors go down dark paths in that industry, and it almost always starts with a parental decision.
@@deecocoa I for one, hope it gets talked about more often. This is not an industry for children AT ALL, and any parent who subjects their children to this cutthroat industry, needs to be appropriately called out. No threats, no harm, just bring mild social pressure. If the pressure is negative, then they will not be getting the attention/praise they crave.
Never thought of that idea for AI but I agree, the extreme risks in Hollywood/entertainment productions should be replaced with AI. There's too many stories of stunt actors grievously injured or killed as a result of negligence or accidents, and we definitely don't need children to be traumatized and over worked by exploitative film companies.
@maxheadman59 I would say the primary use for AI and CGI really should be to deal with child characters. I loathe the child acting industry almost as much as I loathe the Japanese entertainment industry (the industry, not the product).
Most of these pageants are huge in other countries. It makes a lot of money. It’s no longer just physical beauty. They also need to have some platforms. It’s like a college admission but for beautiful women. There’s no age limit.
These are what modern day female celebrities/entertainers wear that are supposedly "role models" to the younger generation. Some of them wear barely anything.
How can _anyone_ do a story on child beauty pageants without _once_ referencing _Little Miss Sunshine_ (2006)? It's as effective (and funny) a parody of child beauty pageants as _Best in Show_ (2000) was of dog shows. If Amber and Jessica haven't seen either, they need to make up for this gap in cultural literacy _pronto._
The indifference which culminates through intrinsic value boasts an impetuous sign which collaborates "thought" and "idea." Today on rising: should beauty pageant still exist, 2 ladies argument over eyelashes, is Elvis still alive and finally are extraterrestrial controlling your thoughts.
None of this makes sense… I am a feminist… however, she waisted everyone’s time and her own. I do understand why pageants are not for everyone and the problematic issues, that come with it. Also you got the picture dog show wrong Jessica. Horrible week for y’all’s podcast ( second one today that was bleh ). I thought you two were improving. However…. This is the same conversation with the same loop about women’s rights etc. I wish we could get past the obvious. Anyway, freedom of speech…. I just wish there was an actual new revelation on this topic.
She released a public resignation statement, and the first letters of each sentence spells “I am silenced”. This is girl’s lifelong dream to win this. To resign, leaving secret messages too is crazy. Something serious is hidden behind their NDAs.
I never really understood these pageants anyway. Seems like narcissistic people seeking acknowledgment from complete strangers. Look at me, I'm pretty, and I can tap dance. Great. You are going places!! Haha
If you don't want the title, then why participate? Is there women logic here that I'm missing?
That's why they prefer a bear, over a man, in a forest. Feminine logic. Grizzle grizzle.🐻🐻
The work isn't what's written on the tin, I guess
You are spot on.

This 💯💯

If you don't want the crown, don't participate. Problem solved.
Every time I see an intriguing segment “please be Brianna and Robbie, please be Brianna and Robbie, please be Brianna and Robbie”..
Yeah, all the other presenters are so monotone. Especially these two.

Why enter the contest if not wanting the crown? It's no secret what these pageants are
Beauty pagents are no more toxic than getting a TBI in football over and over
Runs in a pagent and then reject the crown - Woman logic
Why did they bother to enter these pageants? Seems a waste of time and money anyway.
I think they had different intentions when they started.
Notice how the Miss USA Contest has gone downhill since TRUMP LEFT IT!!! 🤣🤣🤣
It was never uphill
It's not a contest. It's a scholarship program
Yeah true, we should make parading around in a bikini a necessary requirement to apply for more scholarships.
Ivy League to shoe fer sure! Gotta find dah money to pay tuition!

This aspect of it isn't talked about enough.

For the thousand out of 350 million that pay attention.
Why do that to dogs? Dogs don't deserve this kind of treatment either, especially since they cannot consent.
Who actually watches those boring pageant? 😂
Pageants are coorporate? Imagine that. I wonder how they feel about the girl scouts.

Parents that look at their child like a thing.

That creepy Governor UN Green behind the ms Hawai’i should be investigated for his role in the 8/08 Maui fires

I suspect someone made a proposition and she freaked out
