Thank you again Richard. Lots of childhood memories... From before the art installations. Just the old concrete gun emplacement. However. Abbey Woods behind the abbey is absolutely beautiful .

Great video, one of your best. Having Harriett and Lola along allows for a much more casual and conversational presentation. Nice one.

I always thought Haughmond Hill was an imposing prospect when viewed across the flat river meadows from a classroom block. Without that height of observation afforded by the building, the contrast of the Haughmond Hills' elevation from the surrounding flat river valley isn't really appreciated and from the new bypass it is barely noticed. It's not until you visit the summit, is the elevation of this hill above the surrounding flat river valley fully appreciated. The hill itself contains more tree cover than I remember and has been considerably more eaten away by quarry workings, but still offers fantastic views of the area. If combined with a trip to Haughmond Abbey and nearby Attingham Park would be a great day out even without a dog.

Very interesting video. I keep saying you’re so lucky to have so much green space available to you so close to these little towns.

Well I think this was my last one of Shropshire now! (Until you make some more😉) Thanks for another great walk & I loved the history of the area as you went along!!!
Lola looks like she made a doggy friend - though she was seeming to be a naughty girl on this day!😂🐶🐶

This was very good, a nice relaxed stroll to the top. It did look a bit windy up there. Thanks 😄

Why doesn’t Harriet put Lola on a lead, then she wouldn’t get lost.

This is probably a silly suggestion but you talking about the wind messing up Harriet's hair got me thinking how maybe Harriet could make wearing a hat her thing (like Martin's orange shirt). It would help her against wind and sun and also be something that viewers associate with her in the videos.

    • @RichardVobes

I don't think Harriet like hats - she certain hates it if I put one on! :) Nice idea though.
