- Yep, I think I found my bias in KARA. This was my first time hearing them sing live. They're so fun!

Today I'm reacting to KARA's Dingo 'Killing Voice' live performance video and give my honest thoughts and first impressions on the songs and their performance of them.
Literally the first time I ever hear them sing live is in this video. 90% of the songs they perform I never heard, only 'Step' and 'WHEN I MOVE' were known to me (the latter because of their comeback MV today). At first I had the impression that they were slightly nervous and not as comfortable, but after a song or two they got super into it! I actually liked Nicole, Youngji & in particular Jiyoung's vocals the most here. Even though I can tell Seungyeon and Gyuri are technically better, the others were more to my liking so to speak.
Onto checking out their other songs on the album and then also the MAMA awards later today!

Kara means Sweet Melody so yeah..... they're like the only K-Pop artist who brings me peace through their music btw most Kamilias are actually crying right now
Lupin is my favorite Kara's song ever, that 'shhhhh' got me every time...
one of the few groups in Kpop who is true to their name. Gyuri picked the name which means Sweet Melody.
It's actually surprising that adding Youngji to the group felt right because her voice harmonizes very well to the group even after JY and Nicole left before. And now we have them back, Youngji fits like a puzzle.
It's just sad that we can't hear all 6 of them, or even 7 of them with Seunghee.
Haras lines were distributed to Jiyoung Youngji and Nicole.
Seung yeon is the smallest. She's wearing heels
it actually means happiness in greek but they translated as sweet melody which will make people happy :)
I've always lovvveeeeeeeddd KARA's harmonies. They were a group that was so compatible together in voices because they all have different ranges that fit well together from high to low.
You're safe! The maknae is actually Youngji now. Ji Young was the maknae, but Hur Young Ji joined KARA later and she's the youngest now
KARA is representative girl group of no Main-Vocal at that time. As I knew SungHyun & GuRi is just lead vocal. It is the reason that the songs are almost dance song.
Seungyeon became the new main vocal obviously while Gyuri remained lead.
카라는 처음에 4인조로 데뷔했다가 메인보컬이 완전 초반에 탈퇴했어요
그리고 멤버 추가해서 rock u 발매함
그래서 다른 멤버들이 메인보컬 역할을 나눠하는 느낌의 그룹임
승연 니콜 규리가 고음을 나눠서 하는듯
개인적으로 다같이 내는 목소리합이 너무 좋은 그룹임
카라에 빠지면 약도 없다. 안보는게 제일 좋고 보는 순간부터 미친사람처럼 실실 웃고 다니게 될꺼다.
they distributed the Hara's lines to all the members for every songs..
There's a charm about second gen, they love interacting with their fans through their songs and performance in a fun way. But 4th gen is much fiercer, not much fun aspect.
Anyways, I am so happy that KARA gift us with a comeback!!!

Ah the great memories Kara bring back, hit song after hit song. 2nd gen groups just hit so differently and their songs are timeless.

Rock U was their debut as OT5.
Rock U was not their debut. It was Break It in 2007 with 4 members. Hara and JiYoung joined after SungHee left the group

At that time main vocal or main dancer is almost not a thing, they all singer/idol
That's the first time I hear that 2nd gen didn't do this. Pretty cool ngl, makes for much less drama and more talent overall I feel like - especially vocals!
It very much existed. Groups were stronger vocally but they were absolutely still positions. Taeyeon was quite literally and obviously main vocal along with Jessica back then. Same with Jonghyun.
I was sad they didn't include Pandora and Damaged Lady in the performance.
growing kara was my ultimate top group and my bias was also jiyoung!! and now getting to know youngji i super like her energy, so i definitely feel you on the maknae thing HAHA 😭 also i think biasing jiyoung somehow ended up with me biasing yuna from itzy, i only recently noticed but they give me the same energy!! thank you for this video and for the positivity for kara! 🥰

I think Youngji never perform together with Nicole and Jiyoung because she's being added to the group after both Nicole and Jiyoung leaves the group after their contract expired. DSP media make a reality show to added new member and Youngji won 1st place. And she's currently the only member that's still signed with DSP media. Some fans said this comeback is possible because she's still in that company so they has the right to use 'KARA' name. And for maknae both Jiyoung and Youngji is maknae born in 94.
Young-ji took over Hara’s lines since she is the newest and only other member that is present. Don’t think we’ll be hearing Sunghee any time soon.
They really switched a lot of the line distribution. Also Gyuri is covering Haras parts, while Youngji got some of the others.

Oh gosh, Jiyoung was always one of those "big baby" maknaes (like Suzy or Seohyun) but I feel like she grew even taller?? XD
Well, back in the day of 2nd gen, vocals came first, and dancing second, which we've kind of seen a reversal of in K-pop ever since then, but that's just how it's evolved ;o
You can definitely hear their earlier songs have that kind of J-pop appeal, eh? And that's partly how they became huge in Japan, the biggest of all 2nd-gen girl groups
Yeah, you've heard that "la la la" everywhere because you've heard "Mister" everywhere XD It's funny because it was actually a b-side and then the hip/suspenders dance became huge so they ended up promoting it more and filmed an MV for the Japanese version XD
I feel like both times they laughed at Jiyoung, she slipped on her lines or something XD
This was such a nostalgia run through their discography :') And totally the way it'd feel if T-ara or SNSD were able to do one too XP
Praying for T-ARA, SNSD & 2NE1 Killing Voices over here.. I was actually surprised that SNSD didn't do it, as TAEYEON had just been prior. We'll get there one day.
I actually have absolutely no clue where I have heard "Mister" before but it rang such a bell to me, as if I had heard it many times lol. Odd.
Yeah I wish we could get more 2nd-gen Killing Voices! It might be only Kara and Highlight so far?
Well, "Mister" is one of those songs that's just everywhere, like "Abracadabra" haha
