Honestly these were some pretty good off roading vehicles!! With the right tires and a good driver, you could go up and get into places that were fun as hell
clydedog72 would you happen to know if a 1995 ford ranger lift would fit on my 1995 ford explorer? I can't seem to find a 95 explorer lift kit no where, so if they'd line up from a ranger I'll look into getting one of them, thanks! Great video!
It's been awhile! Nice video as always. In comparison to your X Sport which do you think is better? or to early to tell yet? lol I suppose the 93 will be more modifiable though so i guess you can do more too it.
for mine i did a frount and rear end swap to 9" ford rear ends which gave it a 6 or so inch lift 36 supper swampers and front spider gears welded im thinking about eather building the stock v6 to beat them small block chevys or put a windsor in it
I was thinking the same thing.....apparently undercarriage is dragging / making contact....driving in those existing deep tire ruts....no clearance....
Explorers are fairly heavy and their axles are a little too low so its a very fine line between too much speed you just dig a hole or break something and not enough speed you get beached. I owned a 1992 on 235 75 r15 goodyear duratracs and the trick was just knowing how to feather the throttle so can make it through things without getting stuck. My explorer could keep up to a toyota on 35s and a jeep on 35s easy once I figured that out.
I've always liked the sound of the OHV 4.0. Nice videos!

Ford explorer being pulled by a Suzuki samurai
Suzuki's clutch suffer
I have a 91 explorer xl with the five speed. I just need to do a lift and some tires. Great video by the way
Not sure why it kept getting stuck, looks just like my old gal and I don't need to put it in 4×4 in the winter for traction 🤔
Totalmente cierto. Muy mal piloto.
Hey I just got a 93 how did you do your lift? just a kit or did you do an soa flip? not sure how to lift the front after lifting the rear.
Just give it gas. It's a heavy beast that needs the drive to have confidence in the ability to pull

Cattlet Muddigger it should work as long as the axles are the same
looks like my 93 Ford explorer

Awesome!
Great vid as always. I can't wait to see more vids of the 93 Explorer. Are you gonna straight pipe it? Build a snorkle?
ChadWorthingham not sure yet, just saving for some 33s
clydedog72
I hear ya, tires are expensive

The only faulty thing in the white ford explorer is the driver.
Бедный Эксплорер!
That poor white paint
the explore is heavy
almost 6000lbs 2001 and older are heavy but built stronger I love my 2000 XLT Explorer AWD
kevin towery the first gens are more durable though. They have the really good rear axle (8:8 rear end)
Stuff stuff and More stuff so do second gens
Like 1993
Sele atasca por k le afloja el weyy
Alma Rodriguez tienes razón
Las Explorer son muy buenas 4x4
Correcto, no sabe usar el 4x4 una camioneta suficiente capaz para pasar hasta en 4x2 🤣.
Why does the Explorer keep getting hung up? Is the frame too low?
the expo is heavy for its class
I was thinking the same thing.....apparently undercarriage is dragging / making contact....driving in those existing deep tire ruts....no clearance....
Barry A. 1st gen Explorers weighed over 4k pounds. Heavy for the class. In comparison a '93 Cherokee weighed 3300 pounds.

@@masterd151 Jesus no wonder mine was hard to push ... Loved it though and am trading my 93 Buick park avenue for another first gen (94 four door)
