Hello, all! Today I have three fun ways to use water with Distress Oxide Ink watercoloring. Distress Oxide inks react with water beautifully, so I thought I’d experiment with different ways to add water textures to watercolor backgrounds. :)

Why would anyone even give a thumbs down for this video? The cards are so simple and pretty
I know, right? You can't please everyone. I think people forget Art is something beautiful to different people. A thumbs down is just people that aren't pleased with anything. It's so silly. Kristina is a great artist. I agree these cards are so pretty and simple. Plus - she is sharing her knowledge. It's a double win.

That’s what I ask every time I watch a (watercolour) video.
Just LOVE these techniques, Kristina! So pretty! So unique!! And I LOVE the “surprise” each time! AMAZING what Distress Oxide Inks can do w/the water! Soft, gentle and serene! The embellishments on each are PERFECT!! ALWAYS find it such fun to watch your “creations” come alive! TFS n’ HAPPY CREATIN’! :-))

Love each of these cards. The flower silhouette against the blue background is striking. Love the bokah heart effect too.
I just love the watercolor look with distress oxides. But I would never have thought to mix crushed all of Mermaid Lagoon and seedless preserves together. But they work amazingly well! I now have this added to my list of oxide color combinations that I love!
I can't decide which is my favorite. I need to practice my watercoloring more for sure! Thanks for the great tutorial.

I really love the rainbow card! I'm kind of amazed that the colors stayed bright--you did a great job not making mud. :) That's often what I end up with when I'm trying to watercolor a rainbow look. :P Anyway, thanks for sharing, & have a wonderful day! :)

Just love the cards.. so simple yet so intriguing with all the colours..no problem doing one colour watercolour like the blue one u made but I struggle mixing colours to form splashes of rainbows.. but I think if I practice that technique I might be able to make cards like those ... last year I made a sister birthday card and I paint stripes with rainbow it gave me so many idea because of your videos and I almost about to my put paint 🎨 at the garbage lucky I did not put at the garbage . I am going to post that card I made last year and post at Instagram....now you give me more ideal from that paint. Linda Eastment No, I did not wet the paper first, but I have done that in the past. You can get a similar effect with watercolor paints, however most watercolors are not quite as reactive after you sprinkle the water on top of the dry painting. That’s where Distress inks (regular and Oxide) really shine.
I Love all your UA-cam’s. And I agree with the lady that does 5x7 cards. That’s all I do and wish there were more stamps, dies, embossing folders for us 5x7 gals. I use to sell my cards in stores and people would buy the 5x7 cards more, even if they had to pay more. So I don’t understand why we don’t have more options. Does any one else know why?
