Brilliant tutorial. It's so much easier to figure out when you see it being done, instead of trying to follow the diagram. I had a bit of trouble until I figured out that I had to press the trigger to feed the tape as I wound it around the spool. If I had watched you more closely, I would have seen that you did that. Thanks for your help!
Best tutorial on refilling the ATG. I found it over 6 years ago and I've bookmarked it and refer to it when I forget. You are a very good instructor! Thanx for the video.
Even though this video is 8yrs old it still works beautifully! Thanks to an Amazon guy he put your name and the title of your youtube video and I was able to find it quickly! So happy you were still here. Thanks Tracy for a really great video tutorial. I hadn't used my in years and forgot how to put the tape in it. : )
THANK YOU! I fought with the stupid thing for about ten minutes before I thought "I bet someone on UA-cam will have a video about this...." Clear instructions and easy to follow, thanks so much!
I hardly ever add comments in UA-cam, but this is the second time I had to reload my glue gun and this video is soooooo easy to follow. Got it done within a minute or so from watching this. Thanks sooo much for this easy tutorial.
Over the years I struggle with remembering how to reload my Glider. I have review numerous videos. Your video will always be my go to video. Very, very self explanatory.. Thank you so much 👍❤🤗
Thanks for this video! I just bought my first one and the included instructions were confusing, so to UA-cam I came! I literally followed right along with you and it went very smoothly! Thanks again!
I'm here waaaay late. But before I even bought this ATG I saw people commenting online about how hard it is to load. Thank you so much for this clear video! You probably have saved me hours! 👍🏾🖤💚🖤😁
UPDATE: 10/31/21. Tracey, how are you? I just refilled my “other” ATG gun. I have 2 now, and I don’t always reference this video, but I did today, again. I posted 3 years ago, and I’m glad your video is still up and helping me and others with this easy, but tedious task. It’s quick, and hella easy to follow. Thanks again. Hi. I have used your video for the past couple of years. I don't have to fill my ATG gun very often, but it is often in waves . . . for school, for holidays, and this past week for Graduation. Your video is invaluable to me. I think my hubbie does not usually mind loading it for me, but I can now do it with your video. I just put it on my saved videos. Your explanation is quick and easy. Thank you!!!
I've watched this video twice equal to the number of times I've had to change my ATG and you're right its super easy once you get the hang of it. I think I have finally gotten the hang of it! haha THANK YOU!!!
Thank you sooooo much!.....I just got one of these and i messed up terribly....sooo I decided to see if anyone on UA-cam had anyone showing how to......the way you explained was super easy.......took me 5mins.......Thank you again!
May be 8 years old but it's still relevant today !!!! I forgot how to open my gun. My guide didn't tell me that? Anyway as soon as you showed that part to squeeze or push in on the little spot no problem. I find it super easy to refill and my only complaint to the whole ATG Scotch Tape guns is I go through their refills super fast. I went over a full refill today. All I did was make twelve 8.5" x 11" magnetic sheets for die storage. I stated using and repurposing Anna Griffins magnetic sheets both 8.5x11 and her 9x12's which are not available for years now unless you buy specific dies that come with it or an open file storage box something like a magazine box. Anyway I found it super easier to lay out all my holiday dies I was using on these large stiff sheets and keep them in large velcro tabbed envelopes that fit 3 ring binders too. So i the end I liked how well it worked I'm now re-organizing many of my dies all stored in 5x7 similar clear envelopes without the hole strip for ring binders. I will still use those of course but really find it much easier to locate say all my word dies with phrases most often used for specific Holidays and events. So all my Valentines and all my hearts and all cupids etc. are all right on a few of these sheets I can pull out and use dies off and and return after each use. Will Anna Griffins prices were over the moon so to speak and though well worth many of us don't have that kind of money. So I bought Marietta Magnetic 30mm sheets 8.5x11 a set of 25. I also cut stiff card out of numerous saved boxes and chipboard material. I made some out of my beautiful pack of 50 sheets of white chipboard 30 point weight. And finally ordered ones that were already pre-cut to that size. However to make the Marrietta sheets stiff similar to Anna Griffins which allows you to use them like a tray basically I need to glue the stiff card board to the back side of the magnetic sheet. And it eats up these tape rolls like crazy. I could try using glue but some of my card material is coated and the sheets might not be vary porous so not sure how long to dry if liquid glued. In the end I opted for this glue gun. And it works very well. If I have good stiff chipboard but it's brown I glue a super white laser only card stock paper on the out side that will show when flipped over. This also gives me a great back ground to add cut outs in scraps to show what the other side magnets are holding. As you know word dies are sometimes very hard to decipher while others are easy. So I also bought SOFT sided with clear spine and front cover clear sleeves that allow me to identify what is in the folder. I limit each 1/2" wide soft side three ring binder to 6 of these sheets which can be one more or a few less depending on how many dies in a specific category I have. Also this works great for over sized dies and so I'm very happy with this. I used to return dies to their original 5x7 magnetic envelope set ups but now I've found this far more useful and love it. Also I do maintain a lot of my dies still in the small envelopes all arranged file order in clear boxes. So nothing goes to waste. And my magnets for the 6=5x7 also are Marietta Magnetic 30mm brand. I did get sent adhesive back 20mm once and made do because I didn't discover it in time. But you can glue two together back to back or you can glue to another plain piece of card stock or paper and you have lots of options just think outside the box so to speak. But people it goes through the tape fast. But once made it'll last probably for my life time anyway.
It always makes me laugh when I see multiple thumbs down on a video that absolutely does not deserve that. Some people must be so pathetic that they go around and hit the dislike just because they’re bored or have no life or want to be mean. So lame! This was a wonderful video. Not too much talking, clear and easy instructions and thankfully right to the point. Well done!
Thank you so much yours is the best video I’ve seen! I actually was able to follow right along and refill my tape runner in a couple of minutes!!! Super job!!!!
THank you wee lass for saving me breaking my brand new ATG gun by opening where i thought it was supposed to be opened from ie the top. I wonder how many more of us had the same thought while trying to replace the run out cartridge? Many thanks
Your video popped up first on UA-cam and I’m so glad it did. I was just about ready to throw this thing in the trash, but by following your clear instructions I was able to do it in two shakes of a lambs tail. I can’t tell you how helpful your video was. Thank you. - Myrlin
Your tip re the glue being on the sting side finally worked- wasted al it's 2 rolls before finding your video ! Admittedly my refills are a few yrs old as I stopped crafting due to illness . So frustrating- I just couldn't work out what I was doing wrong- thank you!
I know this is an older video, but I just got the ATG tape runner & this video was so helpful the first time I loaded it. Thank you so much, Tracy!! Your directions were so perfect and I really appreciate you taking the time to make such a clear & easy tutorial!
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!! I had the worst time doing this just trying to follow the directions on the box. Your video made it so simple and painless!! XOXO
Thank you so much for this clear demonstration! I just got mine and was ready to throw it in the trash. The instructions that come with it are worse than useless!
Thank you! I have had my ATG gun for years, but don't have to reload very often, and I can never remember how. This video was the perfect explanation :)
Thank you. I don't use my ATG because I have trouble loading, unloading and the tape breaking. I"m dyslex and have trouble following written directions. Thanks, Diane
Thank you so much. I couldn't understand the instructions or the first video I watched-this was super easy to follow... You're a life saver!! Now I'm excited to make my cards and envelopes! This is a "Keeper." ~ Cheers ~ !
Thank you so much for doing this video! I couldn't figure it out and wasted a lot of tape and also almost broke it lol But just now I followed your lead and it works!! Ty again, using this atg will save me a lot of money and also save me time without needing to use the scor tape and peeling it each time! :))
Thank you for that video I got got one today & the instructions confused me. but you video was a sweet & simple & it so ease to lode this gun. Thank you again.
Thank you for your great and easy to understand video. Do you know by chance if the refills that say for wood and metal are ok to use for paper crafts? I can’t seem to find info on that anywhere. Thanks.
This is the single most helpful video on UA-cam! A million thanks!
Brilliant tutorial. It's so much easier to figure out when you see it being done, instead of trying to follow the diagram. Thank you so much for doing this video. I’m nine years late, but I needed this tutorial today in 2023.
Again, THANKS!!!
Thanks for this video! I just bought my first one and the included instructions were confusing, so to UA-cam I came! I literally followed right along with you and it went very smoothly! Thanks again!

Thank you SO much for making this available. I got it right away. I never would’ve gotten it with the instructions provided with the machine. 👍🏻
Gosh I love people who post how-to videos! Although the diagram on the tape gun is clear-ish, it’s much less wasteful to see someone do it. THANK YOU!
You did an EXCELLENT job of explaining this procedure which was daunting when I tried it by the " goofy" booklet ! :) Thank you so much!
Thank you sooooo much!.....I just got one of these and i messed up terribly....sooo I decided to see if anyone on UA-cam had anyone showing how to......the way you explained was super easy.......took me 5mins.......Thank you again!
