@Jessie St Louis :: I am glad that you enjoyed exploring our mountains! I am curious which Canyon you were in. I am disabled now and could not make the trek that you did but I'd love to see it. Especially now that the snow is melting and the streams are really running full. When you speak of the tunnels I wonder if you know that there are tunnels that lead from Lake Arrowhead in different directions that in 1908 were intended to irrigate the flat lands below, such as Redlands. That's where you have all of the Orange Groves. But in 1908 the residents of Lake Arrowhead said "No way Jose! You're not selling off our water." And that's when the residents of Lake Arrowhead took over and now it's managed by a bunch of highly-paid water management specialist that make $200,000 a year to do we're not sure what. But I digress. I visit up here because of the beauty and the nature. I'm dying to know where you found these beautiful waterfalls. If you would like to keep it a secret from most I can appreciate that and if that's the case I can give you a nondescript email address where you may reach me directly and we can keep it private that way. I know it's not quite private if you tell one person but I can assure you I'm not going to tell a third person. Did you manage to make it to the Desert Hot Springs that are nestled at the top of the Mojave Trail leading down into Hesperia where clothing is optional? Or Aztec Falls? Or even Big Falls near Forest Falls which is closed at this point because too many people don't read the warning signs and end up having to be pulled out by air rescue. But we have some beautiful country up there.
lol i began hiking those mts when i was in 5th grade. alone. loved it.. had a pait of hiking boots and a ww2 canteen and backpack, a vintage gift from a neighbor who was an archeologist with Dr Leakey.
Broooo... you had me till that tarantula came around....UGH! Talk about confronting fear! Lol. Awesome video tho, love the scenery shots! Glad you guys made it out safe.
Yeah, actually we had our wedding down in a back corner area of El Yunque called Las Tinajas. It's a real local spot with a natural waterslide and cliff jumping. Love it there.
I can imagine no other way for you to have your wedding haha that is awesome man! Sucks that a lot of cool places are now closed off due to the hurricane damage, but regardless there's still plenty of amazing places to explore on the beautiful island.
You usually plan a bit better than that. What happened? A great place at any rate and the shots were wonderful. I liked your qualifying ending...good advice; covers most everyone.
I explored this area yesterday with my wife and came across a giant brown bear, rounded a corner and he was in the middle of the opening and turned saw us and he ran.
@@liphussle1238true, but some black bears in our mountains appear brownish red and have lighter fur, especially in the sun. They're still black bears genetically, just the gingers of the black bear world haha.
For something like this, I use geographic features like the river to know which direction we're going. And the way out we knew the general direction of where the road was relative to the river.
This has happened to me 2x! 1st was in Big Basin State Park when I was a new hiker and unprepared both physically and knowledge wise and literally crawled on the ground to keep on trail in dark -no one brought a flashlight. This was way before the internet & the info we had did not elude to how long/difficult the journey was. We were told it was "moderate" and the tagline for that trip: 'Moderate'? For who? Louis and Clark? The 2nd time, was much like your experience. Exploring a remote creek in the foothills...except we got shot at too. Biggest danger in nature is a property owner cooking meth in a trailer in middle of nowhere. (I tagged the location on gps and reported to authorities. They were ecstatic because they had been trying to locate the operation for some time.)
Thanks! (Easier said, than done) I'm trying, believe me! 2019 is gonna be my craziest year yet, so hopefully more people join me on the ride! I appreciate that you took the time to comment! 🤙
Great footage man! At the end you said it was an infamous adventure...which means well known for bad quality...so I was confused as to if you thought it was good / worth it or if it was not... But I really enjoyed watching! Being there looks hard tho haha
Google Earth and knowing how to read a topo/terrain map will be your best bet to finding these locations! Pick a canyon...Pick a creek...scout...prep...go!
@@beatrisathetrailscout2892 I don't think so. Sure you will find lots of creeks like it, but the tunnel? I can only guess it is somewhere maybe around Mill Creek. There is an aquaduct on the scanned topo map not too far from where Bryant St. ends at the 38. Due to the powerhouse that may have been needed. I know Jesse promised not to share the location. But if I knew I would possibly tell ya. Sure some places need to be protected, but some protect tooo much and just do not want to share. If I see no harm in sharing, why not? Jesses hands are bound due to a promise and I agree a video of what can be found is better than no video at all.

@@beatrisathetrailscout2892 Thank you very much for the offer. If NorCal was not over 4 hours away I might take you up on that. But I have to plan my far away trips more carefully due to time and distance. Your right, I could not find Vader Falls after googling a lot. Did you ever find it?
Wow take me on a trip I love this stuff I'm not experienced just dreaming of it
Yo i heard about some tunnels near the east fork have you ever checked those out?
No but sounds interesting
What is that red thing at 2:19?
Those are roots from some of the vegetation growing along the stream. The color was very vibrant and beautiful.
Here’s you Like !! 👍👍👍👍👍 Right now I just get ready to go and find me adventure !! Camping weekend 😃
Nice! Have fun! Thanks
Dude I live in San bernardino, do you know where you pulled off to find this spot ?
no, i was with a friend who drove
The beginning of the video looked like Bear Creek, if so you can access the canyon from HWY 38. The Canyon is the backside of Snow Valley
@@johnevans7437 Bear Creek was my guess as well.
Shane Grzanowicz San Bernardino National Forest. It’s more in the Yucaipa area
@@chaosgaming7822 you've seen the spot?

Yeah it was a plan B that wasn't fully thought out. And we ended up getting distracted by the beauty... We figured it out in the end. Thanks Jim.
One question are those Berry's on 1:17 edible are the raspberrys?
They are edible but they were unripe blackberries not raspberries
New generation "huel hauser" keep exploring.
Wow, what a great compliment. Thanks so much!
So great video!
Thanks
Were exactly in the San Bernardino Forrest are you brotha. What do you put in the gps to get there..?
