I graduated from Aquinas in 1972. Took a drive down E Street 2 weeks ago. Wow... the Park that used to be next to the old demolished California Hotel, is now connected to the St. B's Retirement Home. I went to St. B's High School, from 1968 to 1971, before the Sylmar Earthquake knocked down the High School. No more Crest Movie theatre either. I am enjoying your memories. Thank you.
I saw Taylor Swift at the Brandin’ Iron in 2006 right as she was introduced to the world and was quickly rising to fame. She was really kind and did a meet and greet for anyone who wanted to meet her and get pics/autographs. Wish I could find those pics!
I loved KFXM radio station. I lived in Fontana and cruised E Street a few times. Never made it to the Branding Iron, I wish I had been able to see Rick Nelson.
Never heard of Mother Lizards and what was the cross street on E St. where it was located? As for KFXM, I was at the Orange Show when they had a real tiger in a cage (a tiger was their logo), and when I walked up to it there was no chicken wire or a guard or a station rep to say, "Hey, don't get too close, kid". That fucker would rip off an arm of any one dumb enough. Thank God I wasn't. Parting shot: I have one of their old "Another Tullis and Hearne Station" signs in my garage here in Phoenix, AZ. GOD, I miss my childhood.
I remember being at the Lee Michaels show but don't remember Eric Burden. Also went to the Stones 1st concert.. Billed as 'the worlds ugliest group'.. I remember that.
So, it's 1971 we were having our High School Graduation prom at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City, Ca. The entertainment for the evening was in fact Eric & War. I'm sure this engagement was never listed on his resumé. (LOL) but great memories, just the same.
I wandered into this channel by chance and what a treat! KMEN (maybe you guys too) played golf at El Rancho Verde - Rialto - My stepdad was the pro there and we got tickets to the first Stones show at Swing (2nd show too), You got my attention mentioning Cruising E - Ha. I moved back to San Diego in late '65, but the Inland Empire was formative for sure !
i was too young to remember the Mother Lizzard's but later I did go to the Brandin' Iron and cruse E street
Thanks, brings back good memories of E St and Berdoo in the 60's
As a child, the Central City small was my summertime daycare. My mom worked in the GTE store.

I can see the Music and Feel the Colors!😁😁😁
My family had moved to Redlands in 1968 and I listed to Bobby Blue on KFXM, but I was so young that I missed out on most of these music events.
Awesome Channel! I'm definitely subscribing
Acid was one of the worst drugs you could take at the time many regret doing it to this day because of the effects it had on them long term
Yes, To this day the few people I know who dabbled in that junk are just "off" mentally.

I bowled there with my parents when I was a kid then danced there as a young adult when it was the Branding Iron.

The Branding iron came from Colton, but it was called the Mule lip
