I have been a dedicated Mac user for over 15 years and after deciding to start my own small business just recently, I made the only sensible choice really and transitioned to Windows. Being tech savvy and my husband using Windows, I have had my Dell XPS15 for a couple of weeks and found my way around the basics before coming and following this tutorial. I figured it would require some basic knowlege and I was right. Other than that, it's really great, he was was very clear, concise and informative and didn't drag things out in each section, which I really liked. His voice was good to listen too and I learned things I can use going forward and found valuable. I agree with this tutorial not being for people who've never used a computer before as you would definitely need basic knowledge of Windows first. But Thank You for a great video.

Excellent video thank you! I have Windows 10 Home Edition and Can't find any solutions on these 2 issues perhaps you can offer your expertise. 1. I always use a total of 2 accounts...1 Admin Account and 1 Local User account. The major problem I can't solve after endless efforts is figuring out how to copy the system settings from the Admin Account to the Local Account. This would save a ton of time not having to configure the settings for 2 different accounts. So much easier if I could just create the Admin Account, adjust all my settings the way I want them, then create a local account and copy all the settings over from the Admin Account. Is this possible and if so where can I find the instructions? 2. Is there a way to save the Admin Account system settings in windows 10 home edition to an external hard drive and/or back them up? All backup options I've read about do not offer the ability to backup settings. Rather it is documents, files, ect.. but not windows system settings.

@@JJFlores197 i have used win 7 for years and have only just tried win 10 on another machine only because they have stopped supporting win 7,but cannot believe how different the layout of win 10 is to win7,just to navigate somewhere in win 10 you should not have to google it to use win 10,they should have kept the layout like win 7 so anyone who has been using win 7 for years like me should not have a problem to use win 10

This video IS NOT for beginners. The tutor assumes his screen looks the same as all windows screens. My windows 10 is different enough that this turorial is impossible to follow. I don't know how those icons showed up on his task bar. But my google chrome incon doesn't show in my task bar. This is a useless video unless video I guess, unless you are already familiar with windows 10.
When you install a program, it usually asks you if you want to put a shortcut icon on the taskbar. I believe that by default Chrome puts a shortcut when you install it, so if you don't have it on your PC, you might have inadvertently removed it. The thing is, like you mentioned, not everyone has the same icon layouts depending on what programs they have installed.
I thank you greatly for your insights and tutorials. I am 72 years of age and I only use the computer for my convenience and at my own speed. One advice to your audience: even when the material is intuitive, it is so ample that one needs to review the video 10 times or more until they have it down.

Other than that, you can get step by step books that are really helpful.
Hello. A couple of things I use to help me learn is repetition. Repetition is the mother of memory. Secondly, stop the recording and open up your Windows 10 and try to replicate the steps in a section of his video (like Snap and desktop functions). Good luck. With technology, you should have the attitude that I can learn anything I put my mind to.
That was remarkable appreciate it.

your video was excellent but I want to you to suggest me a good book covering all aspects and functionality of windows 10 home os
You may want to look into the "For Dummies" series of books.
sometimes my laptop has something that prevents me from continuing to type and when I click on something it doesn't work! What can I do ? Reset my laptop from scratch?
Excellent but sometimes very advanced for me.
You can do it! Try watching in a slower speed - give it another try. It might seem like much first time, but second time you'd be more familiar with the topic.
Please go to the setting of this video and choose Playback Speed feature by selecting and clicking a little wheel in the right bottom. You'd have an option to choose from 0.25 to 2 instead of the default Normal Speed. Please choose the speed that you find the most appropriate for your learning style. Don't hesitate to play with different speeds to see which ones seems to work the best for you. Please let me know if it helps and good luck in your learning!
windows 10 home 2020 doesn't have a way to edit or create panels for various websites or programs I use. For example youtube as a panel for quick access.
Good vid! Windows 7 is the last I worked with.. now it's Jan 2021 and new to 10, none of the instructions work for making a desktop icon, guessing updates changed it up, any current advise, I'd so appreciate!
What exactly are you trying to do in regards to the desktop icon?

How can I get rid of Microsoft Edge and get Firefox for my default browser? I have a new windows 10 lap top, but its making me crazy! It says I cant install Firefox because it isn't Microsoft verified for security. says only way I can do it is to REMOVE THE SAFEGUARD OF "S" AND ONCE YOU DO THAT, NO GOING BACK----SECURITY RISK I GUESS! I am so use to windows 8.1 and can't find any of my usual day to day stuff. It says it needs to do security updates, but wont let me do them. It was my first day, of using it, and I wanted to toss it on its head!! Your video helps, but some stuff ( like installing security updates), didn't work on mine like you described. HOPING tomorrow goes better. All help appreciated!

it says Cortana isn't available in your region..😞
Can you please let me know if it helps? Please share your result. Thanks!
Change the Windows region setting to a country where Cortana is available and you'll be able to use this feature. To do this, open the Settings app from the Start menu, click or tap the “Time & language” icon, Under the “Country or region” box, select a country with the language of Cortana you want to use. Close the Settings app and open Cortana from your taskbar. Good luck!

typical microsoft i have used windows for years starting way back have been using windows 7 for years, and its absolutely ridiculous that when i installed win 10 on a spare machine i could not get used to the layout which is totally different from win 7 and really damn annoying
I've use W10 since it was in beta in late 2014 and didn't really have issues with the layout.
I see you point of view Patrick! Thank you for expressing your opinion! Hope you'd find a work around it - good luck!
good for your Jose!
I am late now.

lol
Glad you found it funny :)
Thank you for your honest feedback Charles! I'll look into your suggestions. Stay healthy!
One advice to your audience: even when the material is intuitive, it is so ample that one needs to review the video 10 times or more until they have it down.
was is really necessary to go to cnn, and circle something about trump? at that point I stopped watching. why did you have to bring your political thoughts into your video.
Not helpful at all. Windows 10 stinks! Going back to W7. I don't care that it's not supported; it,'s easier to use.
