Singapore's Little India is so different than the bordering neighborhoods. We ate Indian food and walked the streets to see everything around the area.
Thanks so much for watching :)

We are Jacob and Jenny, a husband and wife passionate about traveling the world. We started uploading in May, 2021 with a goal to see as much of the globe as possible. After visiting Costa Rica and French Polynesia, the time was right to quit our full-time jobs, so we left everything to travel and have loved every minute of it. Our goal is to make it to all seven continents and visit as many countries as possible. Follow along and be a part of the journey!

I love your positive energy in your videos and your adventurous attitude in trying local food. Singaporeans love our food, and it is honestly one of the things we would miss most when we travel or live abroad. Many vloggers just go on about how expensive it is in Singapore but don't go on to investigate how the locals live. If they explored our hawker centres, airconditioned food courts, took public transport, and visited our suburban neighbourhoods, they'd realise it really isn't that one-dimensional!
Thank you so much Angela! We were shocked at how affordable to food and transportation is in Singapore. And all the food was so delicious :)
Nobody eats rice with chapati in India. That was a fun watching you guys doing that 😂!! But a wonderful wonderful vlog ❤️👍
Hahaha! We are so glad you enjoyed it ♥️🎉 thanks for watching!
As an Indian I would love if Indians here in India maintained the same discipline and cleanliness
It was very clean in Singapore! We wish everywhere could be that clean! Thanks for watching :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel yeah Indians everywhere in the world maintain the discipline in civic sense but not so much here in India, that's the sad part of being an Indian
God bless us thank you so much for sharing this video. From Lani D. Nepomuceno, Philippines 🇵🇭
Thank you so much for watching! :)
Sunday is when all the migrant workers have their day off so they will all go down to Little India. Hence, you will feel like you are in another country.
Chinatown, Little India, Haji Lane, these are the old segments back when we are colonized. Now we all live in the same community, with all these places retained more for heritage purposes.
We really did feel like we were in another country! It was so cool! Thanks for watching :)
Do you guys ever plan to travel to India?
Yes we hope to someday :)
The special thali set is also very cheap
That is good to know! Thanks for watching :)
To be honest, majority of our early Indian immigrants who came to Singapore were from the southern parts of India. We specialize more in our rice dishes and it’s a pity that when you guys went to tekka, you guys ordered from a naan store instead of a good Chicken or mutton briyani store so I was left scratching my head as to why you guys didn’t try the best Indian cuisine we can offer. But nevertheless I hope you guys enjoy the rest of Singapore exploring more of our Malay cuisine if you are interested or have the time.
Ah that is good to know! We wish we would have known that. Thanks for all the great information :)
You were left scratching your head? Really? They couldn’t even pronounce Chapatti. What’s there to scratch your head about? Clearly they aren’t familiar with the cuisine and the culture. Don’t scratch your head too much, it’s very obvious why.
Indian food costs so much outside of India! That Thali would have been like $2 in India 😂
Hahah we need to get to India!
