@@MTGMuddstah Imagine Descent with Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror... now instead of losing life, you're gaining twice what you would've lost!
Quick and aggressive, I like it! I do prefer the intro with or without the hands though. If nothing changes, I'll still watch the videos, great content!
I was changing things up to see what I could remove. Analytics was showing that the majority of viewers (70% and more) skip the first three minutes and go straight for the game. I'm currently working on bringing the opening hands back but in a briefer fashion. My production schedule is two weeks ahead, so bear with me for the next week or so before this change goes live.
@@MTGMuddstah I don't mind not seeing opening hands, but a quick rundown on who is playing what, with their commander shown on screen would be nice. Maybe just have the overlay of their commanders on their quadrant of the board while you quickly say the names of the commanders. That way it's still quicker than doing the full run down of their starting hands, but also allows newer players to read the commanders before they are played.
I was actually about to build a Braids deck, but i don't know how good it is to pull consistent wins. I decided to build Ayara with a similar strategy but now i'm wondering, if should give Braids a try, but Ayara seems just more powerful.
My braids wins very consistently. Drawing usually at least 2 but more often 3 (about 2/3 of the time it's 3) extra cards every turn finds your win conditions extremely fast. But if you have the ayara deck already, you can just try swapping commanders. Most lists for either can work well for the other.
@@FootballMedic what are your most consistent win cons? I guess the main difference would be, that Braids will draw more cards, but Ayara will dish out more damage at a faster pace.
I've played a good deal of both, and both are fun and powerful. I like Braids more though, because Ayara always ends up being the bog standard aristocrats build. Braids can power any mono black strategy you can think of as long as you feed her cheap permanents. She just allows for a much more inventive 99 that's not just Blood Artist, Zulaport, Bastion, etc. She can do mono black artifacts, enchantments, bizarre tribal, etc. I even put her at the head of rat tribal with all the other typical rat commanders in the 99 and it was straight gas.
@@biostem i guess i'll give braids a shot. i avoided mono black black for years, since its my least favorite color, i didn't expect her to pop of that strong and fast. i guess a hybrid of typical aristocrats + big reanimater could be fun
I like the new format, getting directly into the gameplay I think is the right choice. I will say however I’m a very enfranchised player who can recognize the bulk of cards from the tiny images in play on my phone so I’m maybe not representative.
It's a really fun card - it allows you to play cards that are generally kinda bad. One card that I was sad to see was not in the list was Drownyard Temple.
@crawdaddy1234 one of my favorite cards in braids that's almost never seen is Parallax Dementia. Put it on an opponents creature, sac the enchantment to braids, then they lose their creature too.
I thought braids had to sac an actual card. Tokens won't proc oppos since they aren't cards, thus have no card type to match🤔 otherwise, thanks for the video 🙏 appreciate you brotha
**Looks at video time**
Well, this is quite short. I wonder what--
**Andrew drops Descent into Avernus**
Oh, that's what.
Descent is love. Descent is life!

Descent into Avernus means we're all here for a good time, not a long time; always a delight to see it!
When I saw the Descent on turn
2, knew this was going to be a spicy game. 🎉
Love the video and your content but I do miss, at the very least, the hand intros. Keep it coming!! :D
Edit: The outros are 100% I love 'em ;)
This game was crazy aggressive lol
Even beyond Andrew's turn 2, removal was flying around left and right
Do you have the updated deck list for Evereth, Viceroy of Plunder, the one you linked is different from the one in the video?

Why aren’t we showing opening hands anymore?

Because of the ads, I'd wager@@MTGMuddstah
I loved the opening hands. It sometimes gives a cool sneak peak into what the deck's strategy is.

Braids is more open ended. She can support almost any win line. Ayara is good but overly committed to tokens, IME

The number of times ive lost a game in the exact same way the winner won is honestly embarrassing.
“Bitter Response” you say? 😂
Yea, Boros Charm for the win!
Funny that there’s two sacrifice decks and two Boros token decks 😂 explains the time tho lol
