Scuba Dive: Sun, April 21, 2024 - 2nd Dive on the HMCS Yukon Wreck, San Diego, CA

Sunday, April 21, 2024 I made my 1st Dives of the day on the HMCS Yukon Wreck, San Diego, CA.
I was with Power Scuba (aka Scuba Diving in SoCal!) Meetup group diving from Waterhorse Charters (Humboldt) out of San Diego, CA.
This was my 2nd dive back on the Yukon since approximately 2012.

The HMCS Yukon was a Canadian destroyer escort, 366 feet long, 40 feet wide, with six decks and over 100 compartments. Now it's one of America's newest and maybe best underwater playhouses. It was gutted and cleaned before being sunk in 100 feet (30 m) of water in the Pacific Ocean off Mission Bay in San Diego's "Wreck Alley," only two miles west of the Mission Beach roller coaster.
Humboldt tied off to the middle (2/3) mooring above the main tower. My dive buddy and I descended down the line to the wreck. Then we explored the stern (back) section past the main tower and back past the small guns to the cargo hold area. Then we worked our way back to the center and headed back up the mooring line to end the dive.
