I was so blessed to be there and hear you play on your birthday. Over 2100 people attended throughout the day and they had to keep opening room adjacent to the hall because no one wanted to leave their seat. No one will ever surpass you, and the magic you give to life itself. Your music, your spirit, your talent lives on.
What a legend! I listened to Roger's Autumn Leaves today on my phonograph and just as impressed as I was the first time I heard it... about 40 years ago. If you haven't been to the Musical Instrument Museum yet, I encourage you to see and hear it. You'll want to arrive when it open in the morning and stay all day, so much to see. I allowed myself 2 full days.
There's a different angle (and shorter video) of Mr. Williams playing on the Musical Instrument Museum's channel, MIMphx. Thanks so much for posting this! It was an incredible event and Roger is deeply missed.
