Plestia is such a beautiful soul. She made such valuable contributions to recording the first genocide to be documented as it continues to unfold by the victims and oppressors. I'm thankful she's safe now, and I hope all Palestinians will be safe. Viva Palestine!

50 minutes of talking about nothing…. It is quite disappointing that she says she is a "journalist" who wants to tell about Gaza from her point of view. The truth and all I saw, unfortunately, was a cover-up of the truth... Until she had the invitation to tell the whole world the truth, she chose to describe the situation as a war that happened by itself between two armies for the occupation of territory. Ahhh maybe she forgot because of her trauma, how the cursed date of Yishkah will forever be forgotten 7/10 started because of a cruel bloodthirsty and sadistic terrorist organization Hamas. who chose the cowardly and terrifying way of murdering civilians, kidnapping, raping, burning. And to film it all with joyous cries. Hamas which has ruled Gaza for more than 20 years. that its leaders fled to Qatar and live a life of wealth at its expense. that she is under "occupation" but has traveled the world before... What an unnecessary program and propaganda she chose to produce for the world that watches it as if its leaders have no responsibility for what her family and the citizens of Palestine are now experiencing as a result of the shocking war they started! I don't think she realizes how silly it sounds to describe the state of the war without starting from the point where it really started. But all those people who really think that this is the truth, this moment proved more than anything that her dream of being a "reliable journalist" is in doubt! Definitely a waste of time watching! Maybe she forgot the truth because of her trauma...

@@Justice-e5k What the duck are you talking about Zionist bot? We are not blind and we have seen with our own eyes what this brave woman has reported for months since October 7th??? Not only her but we have seen thousands of videos and pictures. Not only that the names of the martyrs have been already reported and confirmed by external organizations (not Hamas) and more than 33.000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7th, which more than 14 000 were children. How can anyone justify that???? We have seen thousands of dead bodies of children rapped in white bags. We have seen thousands of videos of kids without limbs that were amputated without anesthesia. We have seen faces of innocent children that have been burned with white phosphorus (which is illegal) we have seen the massive destruction of a beautiful city that was once Gaza. The IDF is a terrorist organization that bombs innocent children and innocent people and destroys life. The IDF rapes women and mocks about it on tik tok. They even mock about the killing and suffering of innocent people. They are sick. Moreover, the war was started by Israel because before the creation of Israel there was a country named Palestine 🇵🇸 My family comes from Palestine and they were force to leave in 1940 because Israel was killing them and oppressing them since then. They even built a wall and have check points all around the west bank so Palestinians can't move freely in their own country. They don't have an army so it's not a war and you know it. IT IS A COLONIAL PROJECT AND A GENOCIDE. IT IS THE ETHNIC CLEANSING OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF PALESTINE. Israel is not only killing them with bombs but starving them to dead. They don't have access to food or clean water and they are eating grass and donkeys. More than 1.2 million Palestinians have been displaced and have no home AND THE MAJORITY OF THE PALESTINIAN POPULATION ARE CHILDREN. YOU KNOW WHAT VALUES ARE? HOW CAN YOU JUSTIFY THE MASS KILLING OF INNOCENT PEOPLE? YOU'RE COLD. The propaganda machine comes only from the higher power of Israel , UK and the U.S because they have the money. They profit from the colonial project because of the oil and natural gas trade and also because the U.S laundry machine. So you can't come here and call my ancestors and family terrorists BECAUSE WE KNOW OUR HISTORY. Say all the lies you want to say but people are not stupid AND YOU CAN'T KILL THE TRUTH. There is years of evidence of the oppression and genocide. You're an evil cold person! Join Jewish Voice for peace and get a heart and a brain. Anyone justifying genocide has no values.

I love hearing from Palestinian people. Through their stories, it helps me re-humanize them as people. In the west, we have allowed the war machine to create an overall impression of a tribal society within the Arab context. Continuously fighting amongst themselves for centuries and will never change. It is, therefore, acceptable to sell the necessary weapons needed to defend themselves. This conveniently allows westerners to minimize the reality of death and destruction that is being delivered upon the Middle East daily. Without people expressing their love of their homeland, in spite of the struggles, we would have no relationship point with which we could identify. Keep telling these stories. Too me, it moves the needle more dramatically than protests ever could.

    • @veronikalynn5084
      @veronikalynn5084 5 місяців тому +7

Agreed, it’s the most effective method of changing minds and moving hands. I think there’s a need for protest, but it should always come with natural persuasion like this.
When the cause is just, fair, reasonable, good - then the mere interaction with or hearing from individuals that support it (authentically) is so powerful that it’s rarely ever allowed

Palestinians have a beautiful way of expressing themselves. Even the little children. The more I’ve listened to them the more I understand why it’s taken billions of dollars a year to suppress their voice and dehumanise them.

    • @halifaxeh
      @halifaxeh 5 місяців тому +5

Some of us have seen the humanity of Palestinians for decades. And of the rest of people in the Middle East. Talking to people from different cultures and people who have travelled with genuine interest in other cultures makes an enormous difference. Sadly, too many people don’t seek those opportunities even though they have plenty in their diverse communities. It’s governments that tend to be awful, not most of the people. And by the way, it’s not just in the Middle East that there is ongoing conflict. Look at how recent the former Yugoslav people were massacring each other. Look at how many of the conflicts are related to former and/or current US and UK policies/actions… eg, carving up land into country borders that don’t make any sense all over Asia and Africa, manipulating and interfering with elections, bribing other govt leaders to allow “western” countries to do whatever they want. When you open your eyes, you realize that it’s really the “west” that is corrupt as can be!!

Her description of that nearly inextinguishable drive to communicate, write, or to work with words, but also how easy it was for her to undervalue her talent in the shadows of what’s already been written…very relatable.
It’s painful to realize how high your expectations of what “good poetry” or “meaningful work” are when it’s yourself that’s under scrutiny. How much more strict the standards get with each fantastic writer you discover…all that self-doubt that builds over time, sometimes it suffocates a person whose words might have truly connected with others.
I really needed to hear from a “good writer” that they feel all that just as strongly. And they keep going anyway.
    Very motivating ✌🏻🖤

Netanyahu and Israel has destroyed themselves with their apartheid state and disproportionate violence more than any destruction and evil they can commit on the people they see and treat as less than animals.

I agree but it’s important that the world also sees the graphic images of what’s happening because at least this time people around the world are outraged & they are demanding change. It might not have worked completely yet. But things are moving even though it might seem like it’s not. I think we need both. Coverage of the atrocities & coverage of the beauty, normality, & humanity of the Palestinian people.

Here are 3 reasons why people support the Palestinian cause:
    1-
"The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies."
    - Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949
Israel has been violating the above UN law for the last 56 years by building illegal settlements in the Palestinian territories recognized by the international community, including the USA, Great Britain and European Union.
    Note:
Palestinian territories currently only form 22 percent of the historic Palestine territory which includes Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem with a population of over 5.3 million Palestinians.
    2-
Between 2008 and October 6th, 2023, the Israeli Army killed six thousand four hundred (6,400) Palestinians, as reported by the respected English journalist and author, Grace Blakeley. Surprisingly, virtually there has been no condemnation or discussion of these atrocities by mainstream media.
    3-
Israel always claims that it has withdrawn from Gaza in 2005 and pulled out 8000 settlers, whilst this is correct however, the following conspicuous facts are also true:
A- Although Israel pulled out 8000 settlers from Gaza, it has placed more than half a million illegal settlers in other Palestinian territories which are recognised by the international community. [ Source- The economist - 06.11.2023]
B- Despite the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 it has not allowed the Palestinians to have their own airport or seaport in Gaza or indeed the West Bank.
C- Access to Water, Electricity, Telecommunications, Internet and the Borders of Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem have been controlled exclusively by Israel for the last 56 years.

How would a nation of more than 5.3 million people feel in a land without an airport and where the basic essentials of life were controlled by other country?

17:07 *🌍 Plestia's frustration with how Palestinians are portrayed in the media*
    - Plestia is deeply bothered by the dehumanization of Palestinians, where they are often seen only as victims of violence, rather than as complex, living, breathing human beings.
    - She believes this skewed perception prevents the world from truly empathizing with the Palestinian experience.
    19:04 *📷 Plestia's approach to sharing content*
    - Plestia consciously avoids posting graphic or disturbing images, as she believes that does not capture the true essence of Palestinian life.

    - Plestia believes the media and propaganda play a significant role in dehumanizing Palestinians and normalizing the violence against them.

    - Plestia faced numerous technological and logistical obstacles, such as limited internet access and battery life, which made it difficult to consistently document and share the events unfolding around her.

    - Plestia has mixed feelings about the global protests and activism, as she is uncertain whether the message is truly reaching the people in Gaza.

    40:54 *🧠 Plestia's self-perception and identity*
    - Plestia sees herself as a traumatized Palestinian, rather than as the strong, resilient figure that others perceive.
43:05 *🎨 The power of art and storytelling*
    - Plestia believes that art, including poetry, music, and other forms of creative expression, is a powerful tool for resistance and a means of sharing the Palestinian narrative.
    45:32 *📢 Plestia's evolving mission and goals*
    - Now that she is outside of Gaza, Plestia feels an even greater sense of responsibility and pressure to continue her advocacy and storytelling efforts.
47:31 *🌍 Plestia's vision for the future of Palestine*
    - Plestia's dream is for Palestine to be free and for the world to visit the country, rather than Palestinians being forced to flee.

I don't even want to hear what the Israelis do to the Palestinian's pets. How a people treats animals tells you something about the person.

I HATE how the interviewer moans to show that he is listening intently. You do that when you are talking to a friend, not during a podcast. I could not continue the amazing talk because of that Emmmm emmmm! It killed me!!!! Plus the sound is not good like you are in an open space. Please use noise cancellation products. In podcast, the quality of voice is the most important thing.

50 minutes of talking about nothing... quite disappointing that she says she is a "journalist" who wants to tell the truth about Gaza from her point of view. The truth and all I saw unfortunately, was the covering up of the truth... until she had the opportunity to tell the whole world the truth, she chose to describe the situation as a war that happened by itself between ״two armies ״for the occupation of the territory. Ahhh maybe she forgot because of her trauma, how the cursed date that will never be forgotten forever 7/10 started because of a cruel bloodthirsty and sadistic terrorist organization Hamas. who chose their cowardly and terrifying way to commit murder of civilians, kidnapping, rape, burning. And photograph everything with joy and morbid euphoria. Hamas, which has ruled Gaza for more than 20 years, and whose family, like all Palestinians, chose them. whose leaders fled to Qatar and live a life of wealth at its expense. They really care about them right? .that she is under "occupation" but traveled the world in the past... what unnecessary program and propaganda she chose to spread to the world that watches her as if her leaders have no responsibility for what her family and the citizens of Palestine are now experiencing as a result of the shocking war they started! I don't think she realizes how silly it sounds to describe the state of the war without starting from where it really started. But all those people who really think this is the truth, this moment proved more than anything that her dream of being a "reliable journalist" is in doubt! Definitely a waste of time to watch! Maybe she forgot the truth because of her trauma...
