You can stack them as well. I'm not too sure about the integrity of these cubes, but I'm sure you could stack 3 without much of a problem. Just avoid really heavy plants or find a way to secure them to each other or the wall.

I like how the finish product looks, my concern are the ones in the compartments won't get enough light. They will grow forward to reach for light. Adding some grow lights may help.

most of them are growing out of the cubes so they’re not really hitting the top. ill have them hang or attach them to the cabinets to climb up. or maybe i’ll get smaller plants and swap them out.. an excuse for me to get more plants haha

where i am in LA the weather doesn’t get too cold so my plants should be fine! i might get grow lights, but it depends on how much light i receive
