Lucas Ulich we’re all just normal guys using the same tools, it’s all about how far you let yourself go with your ideas and how unafraid you are to be different
Romil is easily my biggest inspiration. I hope one day we can see a video of him just producing a song, start to finish. I understand it is probably a very long process but just to see how he works would be the greatest thing. Especially for someone like me whos trying to learn to produce
Adam Haugen I think you’re trying to learn “how to produce like Romil” which is great right now but if you want to learn how to produce there are plenty of people putting out tutorials, and even making instrumentals from start to finish. Also you can get a sense of his work flow through the saturation doc and that one video of Ian’s live when they made STUPID.
Royce Harvey ya ive watched the whole STUPID livestream, it was fantastic. And ya ive been watching a lot of producer videos trying to get better at it. But ya ur right, romils a phenomenal producer and i just wanna see how he goes about making a track
People don't understand that without Romil, Q3 and the rest of the guys producing for brockhampton, then Brockhampton wouldn't be Brockhampton. Its an honor to hear from the man himself that produces some of the best modern day rap/pop. He's definitely going to get some bigger jobs when BH is all set and done.
I was standing next to him at one of his shows because he was fixing like the audio stuff and wanted to say hello but didnt want to bug him! watching this video i regret not doing so because he seems like the chillest dude 😩
This is soooooo informative and honestly inspiring listening to him because he sounds just like me when I talk about my music. I do wish someone asked about the pitch shifted vocals from the saturation trilogy because I’m soooooo curious how they make it sound so clean like the hook on GUMMY ermahgerd. Must bite the swag lol
Shakeel that's pretty much the route most underground artists take when they start getting more serious and into more professional sessions. I would suggest taking the time to learn both. Maybe FL first since it's much more intuitive, but learning the basics of one DAW is going to make the other much easier to understand.
Can someone teach me what plug ins he said he uses? i speak spanish and i dont understand to much, he said obviously autotune, but about reverb, compression, delay, eq, he said something?
The first song he showed that autotune sounded like ass lmao robotic is right. He knows he knows what he's doing ill have to dig deeper than a 5 second skim
Nigga ain’t nobody care about autotune settings it’s literally 2 knobs. The hardest part about autotune is the part where you gotta make the money to buy it.
Wow we get to hear those raw BH vocals babyyyyy
its so crazy that commercial albums are made in the same programs and with the same tools that I, a normal guy use. makes me excited
Lucas Ulich we’re all just normal guys using the same tools, it’s all about how far you let yourself go with your ideas and how unafraid you are to be different
what program is he using?
Watabasta Ableton and antares autotune

That “say it with your chest” part is prolly one of my fave Brockhampton uses of auto tune, it’s so pretty

i love how he has the awkardness of a high school boy making a presentation

90% sure they used the little alter boy plugin for their pitch shifting on the saturation trilogy
I mean he just explained how he made his music lmao pretty sure most people talk like that
Altar Boy forever.
it’s soundtoys alter boy. mess around with the knobs you’ll figure it out and be like ohhhhhhh. pretty cool !!!
LITTLE ALTER BOY! Distinct as fuck.
god bless romil ✌ appreciate ya
Romil is always so humble I love him
I want to see him do something like this now. He sounds so much younger here I feel like he’s matured so much as a producer and a person.
Wow I so proud of him for doing this! This what he loves to do, and it makes me happy!
i met this dude in chicago and he gave me the biggest fucking hug
Love Romil's work so much.

Romil is using Ableton in this video.
i had no idea he was at namm
Bro me neither
I don’t know what the fuck he is talking about but girl I am living
If I were to learn a program now should I learn FL Studio or Ableton? Seems like he started with FL Studio as a kid but is now using Ableton.

You can also try Graillon 2, it has a free version.
