      This whole video was awful. If you have 17 or more bags you always stack. Don't use the shelves at all. You might be able to use the passenger side shelves for overflow but if not then it's still good. Just put your last overflow in fist & make your way up to the sliding door. It's all about planning your day out right when you sign into flex & see how many bags & overflow you are going to have.

    The frustrating part of this is when the overflow falls everywhere when you're driving.
    Maybe Amazon can create a strap inside the vans to prevent them from falling.

    Oh he’s scanning every tote as he loads. We don’t have to do that anymore at our DSP (if not all across the country).
    They just have us scan the cart they came on now and we’re done with that part (makes it so much faster).
    But the Amazon Associates still be rushing us as we load (which pisses me off every time).

  • @srm9167

    I wouldn’t even use the shelves with that many totes. And would stack my totes flat. In order from 2,3,4 on down and have my first tote by the van door to sort on my first stop. Boxes in the tote and envelope up front sorted. That’s just my way it feels faster for me. I’ve tried multiple way thats just the way I feel comfortable

  • @bstrongnfit

    I guess we all have a different way of loading. 317 bag should have been unpacked & put on shelf and first bag dumped and put up front. Thanks for sharing - nice to see other ideas.

    Pro tip: you can fit 2 more bags on the shelf if you flip the double stacked bags 90 degrees (so they are still on their side but the long way is facing out). This also has the benefit of falling less often (make sure the bottom and top rows are facing alternating directions). That will put 12 on the shelf and and 7 below the shelf.

    • @LazarusSlade
      @LazarusSlade 2 роки тому +2

      Because the panel where the zipper is located is made out of a softer material and collapses easily, by putting it against the wall of the van, it gives extra support so you can place another back on top of it!

    I am hoping that I will be a new Amazon Flex driver by next week here in Arkansas. I am wondering how the Amazon vans are, when it comes to, if they are leased out to the driver, to where the driver has to have a certain amount taken out of their paycheck, if they don't want to drive their own car for the wear and tear on it?

    • @alicia123456ae
      @alicia123456ae 2 роки тому

      Flex drivers drive their own vehicles. There is no option to drive a leased van here by Amazon. Vans are rented strictly by the logistics company. Amazon only uses a 3rd party company to hire drivers to deliver. Amazon does not have any of their own direct hire delivery driver employees. If you see vans loading during Flex pick up times it’s either a driver running behind and they are off to the side and or the van the Flex driver is using is their personal van they personally use. Hope this helps answer your question 😊
