Tony and Icylyn are soul mates. The way she looked at that man while he was telling her her blood pressure was going down was just pure love. I hope they live happily ever after.
That family that is willing to sign a DNR for their mom are amazing! After over 2 decades in long term care, seeing families who are "save them no matter what" with 90+ yr old parents always made me cry. Can you imagine doing violent chest compressions on a 90+yr old? You break every one of their ribs and may not even be able to save them. Had one woman who had bad gangrene in her heel doctors couldn't heal, yet daughter was essentially "don't care, save her even if you have to amputate(98 yr old) 😢
But they believe a DNR means life support, and that’s not what a DNR means. People of her age can have their heart stop for a million reasons and receive CPR to come back and go on to live healthy normal lives. DNR literally just means no CPR. It does NOT mean not being able to end life support when you’re a “vegetable” without a DNR. That being said, I do agree CPR can be far more detrimental than death on someone who is very fragile and has no quality of life left. So that I agree with your point, I just don’t agree with people misunderstanding what a DNR is.
She is a beautiful person! I believe inside and out and I also will pray that God touches her with His healing power! Her friend is such a wonderful man! They should marry each other!
My favorite line is where the doctor says about the black woman with the swollen stomach that it’s “about going back to basics and not cutting corners”. That can be a true statement in many situations.
My mother died of Ovarian & Peritoneal cancer in 2017. We didn't even know she was sick. When she got the diagnosis it was already end stage 4. She lived exactly 1 month after that. Her belly was swollen like this young lady. When they did the Sonagram, you could see the fluid. They said that was the cancer. She was 86 & happy she would shortly see the Lord & friends & family who went before her.
When Tony said that Icylyn just needed Mister Right, I thought: "She already has him, you both just don't see it yet." They are a pair made in heaven. He is more than a good friend. He is the other half of her soul and heart, and she is his other half. If I think about a pair being happily married, this is what I imagine: Tony and Icylyn. Their relationship is golden. I hope she is OK now and lives strong and happy. She is a good person, a real person. Pure and innocent. Maybe naive, but that is OK. Tony is there for her. He is an angel, just like Icylyn is. The lady with the horse is such a lucky lady. I'm glad she made a full recovery and is still riding. You go, woman! The rest is doing fine too, which is just awesome.

19:41 I wish they wouldn’t have aired this part of the interview. Giving life savings measures does NOT automatically mean “vegetable.” People have cardiac arrests from all kinds of illness and injury, get life saving measures, then go on to live normal lives again. Not wanting her to be a “vegetable” means you wait for MANY tests and recommendations from doctors to determine brain death, THEN you “pull the plug.” A DNR means ZERO attempt to revive (meaning CPR will not be given and if the patient’s heart stops for ANY reason, they will do NOTHING to help them).
