Very unfortunate. How can we prevent this , under body protection helps? I am asking you because I also have a jimny and I would like to know whether spending extra money for under body protection can help us
I think u shud check with 2-3 mechanics in open market n then talk to a Maruti mechanic after making friendship with him. No harm in doing do n if u spend 25-50 k its worth.

Go for Bimbra underbody protection for transfer case. aluminium one should be enough until you want to for rock crawling, then steel one.

Plan for another strong car. If low budget then Thar 4x4. If high then Toyota Hilux which is actually a bomb n can pull truck also. But too costly 35 L apprx but worth.
Even Scorpio N 4x4 is good n if u hv budget then XUV 500 is worth.
