Hello and welcome to a new scene walk.
Tonight i can take you to one of Helsinki's newest suburbs, Kalasatama.
A fairly small area, but with an interesting touch.
The district is dominated by the REDI Shopping Center and is known for Finland's tallest skyscrapers.
There are currently 5 skyscrapers and 3 more will be built in the coming years.

Another thing to note: this video is probably the last snow walk i was able to film this season.
The winter of 23/24 started early and with lots of snow, but from mid-January warm air became the predominant current.
The second half of winter turns out to be a disappointment.
I wish i had more time to film. i really enjoy working outside with a camera, but trying to be creative with a limited time frame feels rushed and frustrating.
Spring is approaching and only 2 snow walks are left on the program.

Good night Diane, good to see you again. I was waiting to film this location with a lot of snow, but due to the warm air for several weeks i had to change my plans and switch to an emergency shoot. As you can see in the video, most of the snow has already melted.😔
The weather predicts at least one more day of snow (or slush) this Sunday. Fingers crossed to film at least one more time 🙏
