As a kitchen manager I’m interested in trying to do a lot of my work on an iPad Pro? Mainly creating task list order guides spreadsheets general managers duties etc.I know you’re not an computer guru but just curious to what you think about it.
My best advice is to make it work for you! If an electronic form works, then by all means do it! The key will be making sure that the lists are used consistently by your staff.
Hey great video! My friend just brought me into his POS startup as a salesman and I am trying to learn as much as possible to fit his system into the needs of the small buisness owner. My question is how can we get the right POS system for the owners? I am looking to know how much employees and business a location has to make sure we can put the right packages to the right people. Also, what people love about a POS system and what they don't like. Any information would be a great help for us to learn in grow in this industry!
When it comes to this my boss is very resistant to change this is one of the reasons I dont think this establishment will last into the future any advice to an up and coming head chef on what kind of restaurants will be successful in the long run
I think you answered the question yourself...the successful restaurant / owner / manager will NOT be resistant to change. Changes are happening rapidly right now. The people who adapt will be successful.

Business - small cafe, some retail products. So home delivery and amazon products with sit in option. Bill printing Bar coding Bar code printing Home delivery service like zomato tie up Amazon tie up Crm Inventory control. Can you suggest a good windows based POS? Ill get my own POS touch or use laptop for it. Separate pos and hardware. Credit cards will be processed via government swipe machine which is taken on rentals. Online wallets would be good to have.
@@Therestaurantboss Haha alright. In other comments, you asked people more about their business to be able to guide better, hence I thought you would actually provide some relevany data to help out startups.
Just subscribed to your channel and I love the tips and info. I'm starting a Coffee shop here in Puerto Rico. Would like to know what are your thoughts about Clover POS systems since they provide their own tablet like hardware. I'm also considering Revel Systems iPad POS.
Clover is very limiting, for a coffee shop it might be fine. Depends how detailed you like to be. Honestly, for me, I want a POS system for full-service restaurant, not one built by a cc processor in an effort to capture more of your cc fee's.
Ryan, Great video. Just had a conversation with some of your partners at restaurant engine. Would love to connect and get your feedback on our software product.
Hi! Definitely look through my blog posts and watch more of the videos. There are quite a few on starting a restaurant. Good luck! If you want one on one coaching, then go to therestaurantboss.com/hire-me.
Hello, love your videos. I am planning to start a catering business from home and also open a small cafe in Bangladesh. Could you please help me with what POS system should I use? Are there software's which are free or cheaper to use?
Hi! If you want to jump on a call to discuss this, visit therestaurantboss.com/hire-me and grab a One Thing call. It's very hard to recommend something without knowing more about your business.
There is no one single answer. POS systems are dependent on the individual person and restaurant/company. If you want to talk about your specific needs, grab a One Thing call at therestaurantboss.com/hire-me and we can talk one on one.
Hey buddy, you seem knowledgeable and well spoken.. that being said, stop asking for fucking subs and likes all throughout your videos. It discredits what you have to say and makes content creators/restaurant owners like myself far less likely to listen to you... Like a lot. If what you have to say is valid, that should be more than enough to aquire followers.
Hi, I belong to a small city in India. My team and I are planning to start a new dessert shop. The things we want to introduce are yet not trending in my place. So, is it a terrible idea or should we totally go for it?
Hi! Thank you for your question. I cannot tell you yes or no - that's something you have to think about yourself. However, I can say if you are passionate about this then that is step 1. Location and marketing will be key to your success.
Good stuff! Absolutely agree!
Thank you!

Ask your leads what they need in a POS then find them the right system.

Great stuff! I want to say though that I am surprised that service reputation is not one of your main criteria in selecting a system.
Hard to know how good the service until it is too late. If there was a great way to evaluate that, I would have listed it.
