- In today's video, we explore how to spawn in more diamond whitetail faster as well as other amazing Grim Tactics that are working in our Mexico Great One Grind! The grind in Mexico is different in many ways from doing the grind in Layton Lakes. We explore some of these difference as well as where you'll find your whitetail zones, how to setup for the grind, where to set tents & tripods, how many zones to farm, how many bucks to kill and of course why! This video will help you with any grind but especially with whtietail! Mine didn't spawn from a Diamond or a Level 3, I had a couple decent Level 2 bucks at the zone he spawned in but nothing huge. Just shoot the big bucks and hope for the best. People are using all kinds of different "methods" to spawn GO's, and then there are the folks who are throwing in the towel after 3,000 kills in Rancho. Took 1,966 to spawn him in my case, with 19 Diamonds and 9 Trolls. It'll happen for you. Good luck.
Congrats! Well the majority do come from level 3s but definitely not all. It’ll happen. The viewers seem to enjoy it so we’ll just have to force him out!

I just started playing again! Bought the goose dlc and trying to bag a few tonight. Watched your goose tutorial and it was 👌🏻🤘🏼
If your on console they are glitched and only like a 10th of them are spawning. New map update will fix it

I didn't grind whitetails yet waiting for the update
But I did grims method on mountain goats,pronghorn,Grey wolves, all the Ibex ,fallow,and reindeer and wow I'm getting more diamonds now then ever before

I was so excited last night. I got a fantasma diamond Iberian wolf. My first diamond and come to find out it is given to all who complete that quest. Bummer. I still taxidermy it though ;)

After a few what I realize now as heaters and getting off to see heards moved and non existent and super bugged I got way down. So I joined a buddy and killed a max score gemsbok only to go the next night and kill a impressive Diamond black buck.it really invigorated me again.ive quite playing cotw years ago do to bugs .only been back a month now but with so much changed I'm enjoying the grind

Are you able to find fabled piebald in the wild? Or is it bug exclusive for now?
I think the fabled piebald are only for Great Ones. That’s what I was told

How important do you think it is to shoot the two biggest in each herd? And how important is it to go through your cycle exactly the same each time? I love the content, keep up the amazing work! I really appreciate ya ❤
It might work better to just leave the smaller bucks but for me, I’d rather have 2 bucks to shoot and move on. I couldn’t find enough large bucks to keep shooting. Thanks so much CWH ❤️
can you show us which skills and perks you have
I’m currently grinding whitetail on Layton and it’s driving me crazy. Half the time the deer aren’t even at the zone during the first hour and a half of their drink zone time. The herds are turning doe only and the bucks disappear. Any advice?
You can’t kill everything and leave one doe or the zone will never get respawns. Kill that zone and you’ll have to refind it. Pain 9n the butt, I know. And you have to activate your zones. Have you seen this: ua-cam.com/video/PMXnbXjMsn4/v-deo.html. ua-cam.com/video/odKTX2c7_DE/v-deo.html
a question, i shot a level 5 moose with the wrong arrows, i quickly left my map and he didn't die before i left. will he come back as a five?
He'll still be there in the same spot

Hi lady I was just wondering why on one of your piebald whitetails for fur type it said “fabled piebald”
There's a glitch in the trophy lodge since update on PC. I think every whitetail in lodge is temporary piebald and labeled as fabled. Devs are supposed to correct the bug.

How do you respawn bucks quickly? Just by running around from zone to zone or?
They respawn or should with a single time change. Nothing else you can do.

Can you clarify, on another video you said there should be approximately 40 drinking zones on layton, but now you say there should be 40 herds, not drinking zones?
Yes correct. Grim taught us 40 zones but then changed it to herds.
I am doing my grind on layton 1,000 in cause I am on console hopefully PlayStation will approve the update soon so I grind on Mexico but I am using grims method

I respect those committed to the Great One grind. Just not really into it, myself. Don't like the way the great one racks look. Doubt I'd even bother picking up a great one if I shot it.
Right.......The grind becomes addictive after your first.
@@Jerk_at_Werk Yeah, another reason not to bother. I enjoy variety. Wouldn't want to get stuck hunting only one type of animal all the time.

I spawned 2 in under 1650 Kills. First one Came at 1456 Second in just 168. 400 into the third now.

Don't they spook when tents are so close to zones?
Tent is placed 250 meters from the zone but in rancho, you have to put tents on zones because they're so close together and work them differently.
@@LadyLegendXO Noted. I just bought and set up about 20 tripods and 8 tents on a few lakes. A bit confusing to navgate ngl

Actually you don't have to set up tents 250m away from the zones, it's a common misunderstanding of the game mechanics. Setting up the tent spooks all animals within 250m radius, but when it's set, fast travelling to it is safe even if the tent is closer than 250m away from the animals. Can't be closer than 150m because animals won't render, but 180-200m away from animals is perfectly fine.
Also grinding only 10 zones seems to be obsolete tactics, because - from my observation - after last update bucks seems to respawn all over the reserve, not only in their original herds. I have 38 identified zones used by 53 herds on Rancho (yup, it's not a mistake - double checked it by sight, checking drink marks on the ground and observing herds at what hour they are leaving drink zones) and tested it thoroughly - after about 200 kills (sometimes even sooner) herds selected for grind started to dry out of bucks and they started to appear in zones I haven't grinded.
I'm starting to notice that about Rancho. That they're respawning all over. That's definitely the way that it was. I'll do more observing and when I come to more conclusions, I'll make a video. Thanks.
@@LadyLegendXO I have shot 67 bucks today, more for respawn testing purposes than actual grinding. Two bucks from each herd maximum, sometimes when there were 2 herds in the zone - one from each herd. The outcome is really discouraging - from one double zone one 4-animal herd dissapeared totally and I have three does from the other herd (buck didn't came back). In the other double zone I shot a diamond (one animal) and haven't visited this zone anymore because it's extremely tough to hunt there. Checked this zone later - I have a single buck drinking there. Two decent herds (4 and 8 animals) just stopped drinking there. Utterly ridiculous.
@@LadyLegendXO I guess I've just confirmed that bucks are respawning all over the map. Went to check the zones I wasn't grinding and found a buck I haven't seen before - big lvl2 233-279. I have counted all my WT before I started shooting them and I'm positive I haven't seen him in this zone earlier.
Also in other zone, where I had 2 herds (4 and 3 animals) suddenly there are 3 herds (4 animal each). Make sure to check all your zones that you don't grind, you may be surprised.
Not saying this is a deliberate change in respawn algorythm, maybe WT are bugged again...
