Content idea, the careful boys do a documentary style video that shows the locations of their childhoods, and the locations of stories that were significant life changing events for them.
Growing up I hoped that I would understand my parents' perspective on how they raised me. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I've done more research online to have a happy and obedient dog than my parents ever did to help me succeed in life. Worst part is, my parents judge my cousins for not having obedient dogs and downplay the efforts I underwent to have a good environement for my pet. "Why aren't your dogs like my son's, it's easy." I was always the smart quiet kid so they think they did a good job raising me, but I suffered in silence a lot until I grew up enough to be responsible of my own personal growth. Part of me hates it when they brag to people about me, acting like they put in the effort to make me who I am. I put in the effort after feeling lost most of my life.
damn man good on you for seeing that at a young age and actually doing something about it there were so many times when i was as young as ten and realized i was smarter than a lot of the adults around me emotionally at least in my case i took the fact that i was a bit different from my family (my moms side is white and my siblings i grew up with are white and have different dads) and let it eat me alive as much as i knew i was family i never felt that way i always felt ostracized for one reason or another it took me until my early 20s to get over it and pick myself up
I really love how JK has grown with me. I’m 23 now I’ve been watching you guys since I was 13 years old. And the conversations have grown overtime as well. This is the content I need as a young 20 Somethings!!
When Bart explains how he feels and what he does when he see's a text message from his mom. Exactly the same thing for me. Yeesh, hearing it out loud lol
Crazy how knowledgeable I am at 23 but at the same time how much I don’t know. this video is eye opening. Love the careful boyz and their advice and telling us their fuck ups if it relates to us now or later in life, great therapy sesh.
After watching this episode this for me felt like such a wholesome video if that makes any sense? Since I can relate to everything they are talking about since I never cared about worrying what's going on and just did my own thing. To the point where I have gotten to the point of realization of what Joe worded so beautifully "I started looking at the city and going like why is there a fucking crack on this road?" and "that light needs to be replaced it has not been working in 10 years" loll So, super crazy been watching JKnews for a while and glad to see how things have shifted where you can get great funny content and talk about some serious topic. Well done Careful Boys! 👏
Joe is absolutely right about financial education. I spent so much money on stuff I wanted when I was younger, that wasn't necessarily stuff I actually needed. So now I don't have nearly as much money saved up as I probably should have.
Despite what you guys have said about your upbringings, and your relationships you've had with your parents growing up, you all have accomplished a lot, and are better for it. Considering how far you have all come, and where you are today, as the Careful Boyz. It is truly impressive. Thanks for another awesome topic/discussion.
It's a pretty bad comparison when you compare those things to people. Trauma itself does absolutely nothing good for a person. It's the choices the person makes on their own, it's completely on them. So do you get it? Whether the person had a good life and helpful circumstances or a bad one makes no difference, it's all about who that person actually wants to be. Which is what makes me ten times more unforgiving to those who did me wrong- so I never think twice when I cut people out and they protest. I feel no guilt. The suffering was so unncessary and just a waste of time, energy and sanity. I have found peace having said all this though, I focus on moving forward.
Let me preface this by saying I love my kids and grandkids, but I would probably be in a whole different life if I didn't have any kids. Also TRADE SCHOOL and not college. Learning about financing as a middle schooler or high school would of been nice. Man so many things. That you should tell your parents( if you have good ones) that you love them so much, because they will be gone faster than anything.
Shoutout to my fellow Pinoy Ryan. this dude is a great dancer, a very mature adult, and extremely funny just like the rest of the JK Crew! To think that we get real talks like this filled with introspection and comedy at the same time is amazing. You can only find that on this channel! ❤🔥
Over the year 2020 I made over 100k on stocks and the capital gains tax was brutal, next year I loss 80k and so I net loss if you count taxes, government is there to take from well when doing well and doesn't give a shit when you fail you only can write of like 5.5k on your losses what a Joke.
Right I have some catching up to do, I think employers will match how much you put in up to a certain amount? Imagine having a fat 401k only to die within a year of retirement 😅 😢

Steve said exactly what I wanted to say to Bart. We know Bart cares

Most of us are manipulated by smarter/more powerful people. Ignorance is bliss.
Money issues such as impulse buying or poor spending is common in ADHD
ameeeennnnnnnnnn
thats why i have 4 separate accounts
Wasting my money on stupid crap prior to 2008, not saving enough money to buy a house after the market crash.
Many people usually only realize things after it's too late.
We’re now dub “the Wholesome Boyz”

strong oaks are grown in contrary winds, diamonds are formed under pressure and bart was raised in an explosive environment

What the hell is Anthony saying about the 401k thing?..I really need more on that .
