I think we could utilize spray drones to apply fungicides in the future. Also learned today, one of my neighbors planted soybeans into his field with one and I was VERY impressed with how things looked
Yea! I didn't realize how big it actually was until Bob stood next to it and was unpacking it. It's pretty cool and works for the specific spots you needed to get.
that is very impressive how its done , i suppose its the battery life is the down side but its a fair bit of weight to lift and fly with , it a positive when it comes to wet ground conditions and compaction .Having a generator like Bob has must make things easier , he seems to know what he is doing , clever guy
In this instance the only way to kill the weeds would be 1. Spray with an airplane 2. Spray with a drone 3. Walk and how weeds by hand. Cost for each really varies depending on amount of weeds and size of area for applicator to spray. The one advantage I like of drones, is that if I buy a drone I can personally take care of my weed issues and forgo having to hire an airplane to do the work. Another benefit is time savings. Although the manual method would work, it would've taken days to get all the weeds killed this drone did in just a few hours
Essentially yes, it was LV6 which is better for drift reduction. If the chemical hit the corn it wouldn't have any impact on it. Although it would kill Xtend beans, but not Enlist beans with the 2-4D trait
@@HiTech_Farmer Yep, I bought my single ticket for tonight's Mega Millions drawing and I'm feeling confident that I'm going to win because the odds are only a FEW HUNDRED MILLION TO ONE that I will win, or maybe a bit more. I'll let you know if I win.
I’ve been trying for the past two years to find a drone spray operator who will serve my location ( southwest Wisconsin). Hoping they will become more common soon.
Great to see a couple young guys involved in the future of farming! Found it very interesting!
I missed this yesterday, but I saw it today.
All I can say is high tech farming is really cool. 😎
Great to see this new technology being used on your farm. Greetings from Dundalk, Ireland
More cool technology coming...
Where else do you think you could utilise this type of drone. I know you're thinking of a few !

Agreed, they are a large rig
Great video!!! Very interesting👊🏼
Glad you liked it!

Yes battery and weight are the two biggest drawbacks currently. It'll ne interesting to see where the technology evolves to moving forward
wow. thats crazy!
How neat is that!
For my first time seeing it in the field, I was very impressed!
Wow Matthias ! Surgical removal of weeds in a field that size? That's amazing!
Your definitely need to do a update on the kill in a couple of weeks
Will do. We hit them on the later side...
What's the rough cost vs time saving with that? And are there other advantages?

in your next video can you show us how operate Push Button shift in your grain trucks 🙏🙏
It won't be the next video, but one coming up
Amazing technology. Do you use 24D or something else to kill the weeds? What about overspray on the crop?
Essentially yes, it was LV6 which is better for drift reduction. If the chemical hit the corn it wouldn't have any impact on it. Although it would kill Xtend beans, but not Enlist beans with the 2-4D trait
A question about the drone, just curious, approximately how wide is the "boom" width on each pass?
Up to 32ft
@@bobbybangasser4460,, wow, would've never thought that wide, that's fantastic.
Now you're talking! That's what I'm going to use to spray my crops with after I win the lottery, and then I can afford to buy a farm.
I've heard the only way to win the lottery is to play, so I hope your playing 😂

@@HiTech_Farmer Thanks.
Hi-Tech equipment on a Hi-Tech farm.
Now you need flying tractors.
😂 you may have just spoke that into existence…
Did it actually kill that water hemp?
Stopped it all from going to seed, so that's a win

Best of luck. In my area of SouthWest Minnesota they are nearly a dime a dozen
They need to get them big enough to hold 100 gallons and run on gas or diesel fuel. They should run an hour non stop.
Agreed! Technology will hopefully get us there soon!
sell the whole kit to farms - trailer and all.
Some places do
