I still think the old Alice pack takes some beating, the only bad point is it metal frame ,is not the most robust on Para drops. The SAS Bergen metal frame is good, never seen a broken one yet !
What about karrimor sf predator 45 they are pretty much quality i'm just civvy who's 50yrs old a Welshman from South Wales lives near the Brecon Beacons and i like to try the Fan dance if i can make it any advice.
Hi m8 they and forces use the ortlieb 79 or 109L heavy duty black canoe bags for sleep bag and bivi bag in Bergen, I use 79 L and plenty big enough and if you need smaller ones for other pockets buy cheaper lightweight ones is all you need
