Lots of people have asked this question so I hope this clears things up. I forgot to mention in the video that you also need to make sure you upgrade the two separate (lasting override) skills in the Machine Master skill tree. Doing this, with the +2 lasting override weave will give you control of machines when overriding them for an unlimited amount of time.
I've had the Tenakth outfit for a while now & have been slowly upgrading my outfits & didn't even know you could get a Lasting Override weave by first buying it! It makes sense, now that I think about it, because it says in the description it helps with mounts. Thank you so much telling us about it! As someone who LOVES making machines my best friends when I'm not getting parts for upgrades, this is really helpful so I won't have to worry about my best machine friends stabbing me in the back!🤣😃
Synopsis from info gathered from this Video and Comments section: 1. Get Tenakth Dragoon Outfit here at 1:24 Fall's Edge Hunter Merchant... Pick up the Armor, and then Upgrade that Armor to till the Weave Reaches a +2 Lasting Override level... Once the Weave reaches +2 you can remove it... And add the weave to your favorite Outfit... 2. As Per youtuber Comment Sakabatou77 You can purchase the Tenakth Dragoon outfit twice. "You can repurchase it at Legacy's Fall, but you have to sell your other outfit first, and make sure you remove the weave. I have two."
This is partially correct. In order for this to work you need to have a total of +4 lasting override. You will get 2 points from the machine mastery skill tree and then you couple that with any other +2 source. The Dragoon weave can be removed and put into any armor but will take up valuable slots. The Sobeck outfit and the Tenakth Tactictian armor both have it built in as a skill. The Tenakth armor is the best choice for this, as you will have more open slots after upgrading clearly making it the best choice. Hope this helps and happy hunting.

hopefully in part 3 we get to ride the stormbird, the mountable machines in 2 is just not enough. i hope they go all out next time, imagine riding a slaughterspine crushing everything on its way.🤣
In Burning Shores the Thunderjaw and Slaughterspine are neighbours. I override the Thunderjaw and tried to lure the Slaughterspine to battle eachother. Thunderjaw was shooting his canon and the Slaughterspine turned away and was hiding somewhere. I was a bit disappointed to say the least. lol 😊
I know the exact location you’re talking about! I managed to get them to fight all the time, sometimes it would glitch a bit and not work though. It’s a fun encounter to start hey 😊

Question! I just started recently and put in a whole 70 hours into HFW. Was SO gutted that most machines cannot stay with you forever, but thanks to more research, turns out you can have them forever! My question is: When you override your forever machine and leave them behind, when you whistle will they come to you? It would be such a shame if that’s not the case and you have to basically baby them and be careful where you go, etc. I’ve tried researching on that too but found no answers. I want to override a dreadwing forever and maybe try for slitherfang (somewhere between those 2 lmao, they’re such awesome machines it’s hard to pick which one I want ahhhh). Please let me know if it’s possible for them to come to you when you leave them😫🙏
Hello! It’s a great game isn’t it :) So as you know with lasting overrides you can override any machine for as long as you like. BUT, you can only whistle for your mountable machines you override and not for any other machine sadly :(. The other machines that you override will just roam that area they are in and will not move on from there. I wish we could take those really big machines into any fight we wanted! Sorry I don’t have a happier answer for you, but in the Burning Shores DLC this might be a possibility!
@@gusomajic ah it’s ok! Thank you for the info :)! I also found out about that earlier, it sucks, why even add all these cool machines and not let us enjoy them to the fullest? I wanna see a slaughterspine fight a thunderjaw!! How epic would that be?! Or fight apex variants :’) this game is defo awesome, but so restrictive in certain aspects, wasted potential if I am honest 🫠😞
@@maijaaarilova6812 I totally agree! Imagine being able to have a slaughterspine follow you around anywhere you went :D There’s a big Horus by the look of the trailer for the DLC so who knows what else they will let us do :)
They should make a spike thrower that overrides machines and overrides are kinda useless when they could only stay in that specific area wish they would do something about it
@@kingofnara If u compare killing machines with ur weapons vs with an overriden machine, obviously ur weapon would do a significantly better job. Big machines that are worth overriding are usually useless to override as there is nothing much for them to kill. Wouldn't it be much better if u can bring them along? We have 2 mount slots, land mounts and the sun wing, no one would bother using land mounts after they've overriden a sunwing so why not have non mountable machines available to call out as well, wouldn't it be way more fun to call out a slaughterspine whenever u want and watch it kill off other machines?
@@kingofnara also who says anything with a companion system would automatically be related to pokemon? WoW has a pet system but I don't see people saying the game is like pokemon.
Im fine with them staying in a specific area but your spear idea sounds great. Wonder how expensive it would be to get a override from a corrupter and throw it away with every spear 😂
I never actually tested out switching back to another outfit without that weave after overriding the machines, it would be interesting to see if it keeps the override or resets it. That’s a great question and I’ll test it out :)
I can answer that for you. Yes works. And the same "Mechanism" works with All comparable weaves, too. +2 food duration (lasts 15min then) smoke bomb ( 6 instead of 4) etc
Yeah it works, but nontheless override is not that usefull because the overriden machine stays always in its area. For example you override a snapmaw on a beach, it follows you there but will stop if you go into the jungle. Tried to get some assitance for apex slaughterspine on UH 😂. But you can override your Mount (only aggressive works All the time) then you can call for it anywhere and it fights with you. Clawstrider does some damage
Yeah that’s the biggest downfall for overriding machines in the game, the machines won’t follow you very far! I wanted to try and get a overridden Thunderjaw to follow me around like my body guard 😂 Imagine watching a Thunderjaw and Slaughterspine fighting it out! I do the same as you, I like using an acid clawstrider mount to do some good damage and distract them whilst I take them out. We can only hope they update this and increase the distance they will follow for.
Right. Little embarassing for a triple A game and totally killing the immersion of open World when you realize each machine area has invissible boarders and if you cross them the machine will suddenly stop attacking you, even if you are in perfect Melee range 🤣
