4 cords are needed for one arm. Pay attention after sqer knot.... Happy work!
Hello! Thank you for your video! I think the confusion arises because of the first spike you make: you use 5 and not 4 cords for the first spike. It is clearly shown. On the left side there is one working chord and four double half hitch knots = the same on the right side. Probably, for the other spikes, you took one of the same chords used for the first spike from each side. Am I right? Maybe you could explain step by step how you made the second spike, then it would be much clearer to everyone. If we count the double half hitch knots made in the first row of each spike, the number is not the same. Some rows are 4 double half hitch knot and some are only 3. Thank you!
This is a really cute simple star that turns out beautiful and your tutorials really simple to understand I just wish you would have showed doing a second point to the star because it took me a while to figure out what to do. I just went to the end and looked at the star and figured it out that way
The same here. 20 cords and 4 tips only :( I really miss the transition to the second tip in the video.
I just made my first star following this tutorial, no issues at all!
8 cords per Spike= 4 of the 20 folded in half!
Thank you for the great tutorial :)
Glad it helped!
This tutorial is really misleading. It's a pity that I have to start over. I also ended up with only 4 points. Yall need to cut 24 strings insted of 20.
20: 4 = 5

Thank you for the pattern very easy to understand the instructions
Can I please ask the name of the cord you used what I have isn’t soft like yours
Thanks again

Thanks 😊❤️
How long are the cords you using and what size of the yarn
Look at 0:26 she wrote the measurements and what cords she's using
Thank you ☺️
I'm nervous to try this when there has been so much confusion. Is it 20 or 24 cords? Was anyone able to follow the video and get 5 points?

I’m not finding this easy, I’ve ended up with 4 points and not 5??
You didn't cut enough cords
@@MACRAMEMAGICKNOTS I'm having the same problem. Initially, I tied 19 larks head knots, because the materials just said to cut 20 cords, but I ended up with not enough for 5 points. So then I went back, slowed down and zoomed in, and zoomed in at 0:54 I'm able to count 20 larks head knots tied onto the main cord. When I do this though, and then start tying my square knots, I have two cords left over after I tie the 10 square knots. What do I do with those two leftover cords? I'm so confused! At 2:54 I can clearly see 10 square knots tied, but no sign of those extra two cords that are left over after tying them.
It’s not showing what to do with the two cords of the square knot you use the cord from to start the first four half hitches, those are left hanging 😲
This video is really misleading. In the first point you are taking a cord from the square knot to the right or left of the point. That means you are using 5 cords per point. How do you then make the adjoining point as you don’t have the extra cord to use? You don’t show how to make the second point.
