I have a honeybear already...My 1 year old daughter lol That's the nickname I started calling her randomly months ago and I just googled "Honeybear" and this video came up. I am so delighted there's another little sweetie in the animal kingdom.
I grew up in the Amazon and one of my friends had a pet kinkajou. I also did not realize for a while that the olingo also exists, basically a kinkajou with a nonprehensile tail. In Peru we called them choshnas.
I tried to Google olingo but I couldn't find any kind of information of it being an animal the only thing that I could find was a oligo which is two small strands of DNA
It's so sad that people get them when they aren't prepared :( I won't even get a hamster without doing extensive research for months before. I just love kinkajous ❤
Always, always, ALWAYS do extensive research, pet-proof your home based on the abilities and needs of the animal you intend to keep, and look into the source you are acquiring the animal from (breeder, online ad, etc.) to make sure you are not unwittingly supporting something unethical, like puppy/kitty mills, poaching, or behind-the-scenes abuse and neglect. These are musts, whether you’re getting a goldfish, a pony, an anaconda, or literally any other animal. 👍 Lots of animals can be great pets for those willing to provide for their specific needs, but we owe it to them (and to other pet parents and their own fur/scale/feather babies) to promote and support ONLY ETHICAL breeders, channels, and practices.
I've heard of honey bears and kinkajous; but, not one reference had ever indicated that they were the same animal. I learned something by watching this video. Cute doesn't always mean cuddly.
Can I ask you how much these honey bears cost and plus more than the money I want to know more about them I have ferrets and I love them and they're kind of different to take care of than a cat or whatever but I'm trying to get up in the game and I started getting these videos pushed about honey bears and I really want to learn about them I also love sugar gliders... They call me zoo because I love animals I really want a honey bear but I don't want to get one if I can't take care of it because that would be cruel.... First off how much are they second are the only problems with having them is the diet of fruit because fruit is a kind of expensive a little bit but and they're pooping problems hahaha I don't mind any of that but I want to make sure that I know everything before I get one so that I know that I don't wind up being one of those unresponsible people
I just can’t help but think: “Our ancestors used to scrape together bedding and shelters from leaves and branches… then we invented memory foam and never looked back.”😂 I know they’re animals, but… soft and comfy is soft and comfy. 🤔 Anytime you leave coats, boots, scarves, etc. outside, all of the wildlife pounce on it like prime real estate once your back is turned… I once had a snake make a cozy home for itself in my “outdoor clothes”, left outside overnight…
People need to stop these are not pets they can never be tamed it might tolerate you but that's all leave them in the wild 99% of the time your going to end up hating your super cut exotic pet so just love them from a distance
i love how the raccoon and the kinkajou are named meeko and kuzco from two disney movies
When I get a pet I treat them like my children I don't have kids these are the only things I know as my children and I treat them as such

Most people are like that, especially with fish…
Agreed. So sad....humans can be so selfish...what sweet little critters

YES - Katelyn
Honey bears is also a name sometimes given to sun bears so it’s possible you may have also heard of that too.
@@jasonberryman1035 You know, I think I may have also heard that. Thanks.
Is this at the reptile animal sanctuary in Phoenix?
beautiful job and well done.we are first timers bere and will return
I work at a summer camp with a zoo! & we have 2 honey bears! Theyre so cute and so FUN! I love them so much!
Fortunately ours are very sweet and friendly
So cool! Summer camps are the best! I wish I had the opportunity to go when I was young!
@@DavKaufmansAdventures I wish you did too! Esp this one! Love the kid's faces when they get to interact with an animal theyve never seen!

Raccoon dogs are canids (“wild dogs”) and are not in the same family as actual raccoons.
yea
Wow, what an interesting animal, it’s like a cross between a chihuahua and a lemur
Your "oops" box did nothing lol. Is that your house? Lol, aquatic fish!!
Not my house - the sanctuary was built around the house though! :) -Katelyn 🐠
@@DavKaufmansAdventures Very nice!

Thank you very much!

Is this a zoo or is this your home? (I dont mean this in a rude manner I ask out of curiosity)
Thank you for not making a video while you had covid nobody wants to catch it from watching your video
Comic Sans?
Well it's cute and very well mannered 🙃 so I'd say yeah he can be my pet 🙃
If it was a cat I would of got a skippidy pap by now 😂
just to clarify. raccoon dogs actually are dogs
If I had one I would have it with trees and plants it would normally nest in , soft blankets and pillows just don’t make sense to me

honey bears and raccoons are both procyonids! so seeing miko first was appropriate.
Don't youtubers always work from home tho
She replied to another comment and clarified the facility was built around a house but it’s not her house
Awesome pets animals reptiles
Don't dispose of animals people.
People are pretty fuckin evil
Miko is so sad. He wonders what he did wrong to be in jail.
Release him in the wild already!
May have fruity deodorant
