- How do you survive the longest flight in the world? By flying with Singapore Airlines onboard their brand new Airbus A350-900ULR, of course! The plane has advanced technology to support such an epic journey and the meals are carefully planned to help reduce jetlag.
But, check all of that out for yourself by watching this video about the longest flight in the world, the inaugural New York to Singapore flight onboard a brand new Airbus A350-900ULR Singapore Airlines.
Singapore Airlines held a very impressive party. The video includes coverage of all of the festivities at the gate as well as the action onboard. You'll see the food served on the longest flight in the world as well as the entertainment and amenities provided on the inaugural New York to Singapore longest flight in the world.
Perhaps the highlight of the Longest Flight in the World are the views from the Singapore Airlines Airbus A350-900ULR's massive windows. You'll see Canadian landscapes, icebergs, and the vastness of the Russian and Mongolian Steppe.
I wasn't alone on this trip. I was joined by many other #AvGeeks including my friend Sam Chui who was also on the flight so he could experience the Longest Flight in the World with Singapore Airlines!
Leave me a comment. How do you think you'd fare on the longest flight in the world? Would you feel refreshed afterwards? Or would you be wiped? How do you think the Singapore Airlines Airbus A350-900ULR did? Let me know!

That looked like an amazing flight! Great video and great job in getting it edited and uploaded so quickly - you're a machine!!
Yeah but definitely worth it - you would have been racing to get it out quicker than Sam Chui and the other UA-camrs on board and you beat them all! Now you can sit back, relax and the enjoy the next fight!
You two should do a collaboration 😂
Excuse me, the screen is touchscreen.
DennisBunnik Travels hey dennis, why dont u make a video about this too? I'm sure you would make a great review
Where the flat earthers at?
Imagine being that one person who booked this not realizing it was the inaugural flight and seeing all the media and everything.
like uh todd i might be a bit late to the metting why? well funny story.
Imagine traveling half way around the world to end up in Newark...
The Fare Player 😂😂😂
Lol I live 2 hours away from Newark
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha or in the ghetto Queens NY, I was there like Coming to America movie with Eddie Murphy hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Awful Newark Airport is actually in ELIZABETH NOO JOIZEY
The Fare Player just imagine 😂.
The countdown was the best
Narrator: 3-2
Random guy: Restarts at 3 🤣
THREE! THREE! ONE!
I was looking for this comment🤣🤣
hahaha glad someone else noticed and commented on this.
Haha i think it was Jeb, it sounded like him
3:59 The one guy who is out of place and says 3.
That made my day
I think it was jeb
14:40 Like when you see it...
your mom does
OMG hahaha, my eye caught that and I had to pause. I knew I had seen that before besides the implied shape lol .
But was it what I think it was? Or an illusion
it's a seen from TV series called "silicon valley". ua-cam.com/video/335Qnh-GRcA/v-deo.html
Saw it...
Great video, as usual. I have a sad story from the previous incarnation of this nonstop flight. I was a limo driver and picked up a woman at Newark who had just flown in nonstop from Singapore. On the way to her hotel she called home to Singapore and found out that a close family member had died unexpectedly. She called the airline, booked a seat, had me turn around, and got back on the SAME PLANE to fly nonstop Back home to Singapore. 36 or so hours in the air, with just a few hours in Newark in between flights. I felt so bad for her.
sad
Oh wow that must really suck
That is real sad rip
@@olitesla5891 wtf is wrong with you?
This is so sad. Honestly it’s a real test of your mental health 36 hours in economy.
"Welcome to my beautiful city, Singapore...." So glad the pilot said that :-)
I credit Jeb for getting me over a lifelong fear of flying. I’m 65 and two years ago I went to Norway. I had not been on a flight in 19 years! By watching Jebs videos before I left, I cured myself. I had absolutely no qualms on my over seven hours flight from Newark to Oslo and then home again
did you know that flying is the safest form of travel.
I watch UA-cam plans crash/problem videos. I like the ones where people get sucked out or takeoff/landings go wrong. They are just what they doctor ordered. Makes you feel alive.
... see as we get older we fear less ... Congratulations on conquering the fear you had ... enjoy ...
Lucky! You flew on the inaugural!!!!!
Sup QFS!!!im a subscriber!
The real inaugural happened the other direction SIN-EWR!
yvr2002rtw true
This is actually the re-inagural flight. They started this flight back in 2004 using the A350, which I flew in executive economy. Great flight, only carried 120 passengers. A must for any aviation geek.
14:42 oh gosh what is that person watching😂
Silicon Valley, a comedy tv show (unless you weren't sarcastic)..
Kami Newman 😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂
What the hell ಠ_ಠ
Why do you need to mention it?
At the gate you have the people flying it to fly the first route, then you have gramma and grampa who just wanted to get to Singapore for vacation and are confused by all the press
I like the fact that you’re grateful and show gratitude for having such an experience, unlike some entitled people (whom were on your flight) who expect nothing but 5 diamond service ALL THE TIME. Some people never get to leave their home town and see the world, much less to do it in first (business) class style! That seat looks very comfortable and with exception of the canapé’s, the food looked AMAZING! Hope you enjoyed your flight. I give your review a thumbs up and pray one day I get to experience it. Who knows, maybe when HAL gets their 789’s, I’ll get to fly to LHR from HNL! Aloha
I never thought I’d see the day Jeb likes the noise canceling headphones bravo Singapore also great trip report
@@GreenerGrass I'm sorry I must have heard wrong, they COLLECTED them???
@@jackflynn23 they are $350 headphones.
not really
Jeb?
I want you to do more long-haul flights
Jeb weird flex but ok you have to flex your Rolex in front of 1 million people lmao 😂 at 6:14
that water salute is funny
irishque ahmad and depressing
Thank you Airbus for making the most innovative aircraft A350. Love it.
That title goes to the Boeing 787 for your information
@@nemom225 A350 is better than 787 period
The 787 is way better then the A350, not only did Airbus rip off the nose design but other then the engines and nose there isnt that much to say about it (its made of carbon fiber but the 787 beat it to that as well)
The A350 has a higher percentage of composite materials in its making, and its nose is actually much closer to the A380 nose design than the one of the 787.
If you had to turn wrenches on them you would hate the pigs.
Great video Jeb. You do really nice work! On a funny note, I particularly like the "screen art" at 14:42 on the in flight entertainment screen second from the left! Doh!
6:03 Weird flex but ok
Odin counterfeit Rolex all good
Jeb Brooks lmaoo what’s AD and I’m kidding y would it be fake when u rich

@@caominh2874 MURICA!!
Ha it’s cool that you can stay up for 3-4 hours go to bed for 5 and still wake up with a ton of time left to enjoy more sights of the world
That’s how it should be
Lol one of my flights are going to be 15 hours and the 2nd is 2
I’m in London 🇬🇧 and I’ve been waiting for this all day lol cheers for your hard work and super insight into flying 👍🇬🇧
There was no need to fast forward during take off man! We live for that engine sound during take-off. Great video though.
Not great video at all.
3:58 *THREE* "three!?" LOOOL
14:42 have a look at the screen in the middle of the cabin ;)
A350s rule!!!! Thanks for sharing the experience
Hey Jeb. Thank you for your immensely enjoyable review of this flight. You and other reviewers such as Sam and Dennis really know how to entice people to commit to challenge themselves to long flights. Having flown fro Australia to the UK and back on their direct flights, I can tell you, man , am I tempted to do a quick Melb. to Singapore flight and then do the jump to NY. Luckily, I have family in Memphis, Tennessee and I know I WILL!
who else watching this in 2020 with quantas 787, and a350 being world's longest flight
@Eben Cole o
World's longest flight + best airline + Aviation Geeks/UA-camrs = ❤️❤️❤️
I know you! Your from DJs channel!
Loved the view at 13:26 Jeb!
@@GreenerGrass hahaha I can't count!
Paul Stewart Probably you needed to pee during that time 😂
I think you probably meant 14:26
Jeb Brooks you should have given us a bathroom tour!
10:49 is stunning.
You think of everything. No robotic voiceover which is great. Your gratitude ... I feel this so often flying, the whole experience is emotional for me. Thanks Jeb! 🥳🥳🥳
That bed arrangement actually looks like my pillow arrangement at home haha I’d love it
0:01 Jeb, you're so enthusiastic I actually believe you wake up like that :)
Jeb,
This is my first time here and I gotta say your video was quite enjoyable. I wouldn't want to be the one doing all the editing, it's time- consuming as hell. Trimming this video down to 18:38 took a lot of time and stress, you've given us plenty of your precious time, just to say the least. I've only given you a thumbs up because I'm not sure how long it's going to be before I find this channel again. I thoroughly wish I could have been on the flight, that's the only way I could have enjoyed it more. Thank's so much for sharing. BTW, I can't think of one thing to improve on what you've accomplished here, nice work (play) lol. Cheers.
The Benchmark of the Aviation Industry!! Singapore Airlines!!
Great review! I have flown this flight 3 times and am flying it again in February 2020. If you reserve the BULKHEAD Business Class seat, there is an additional 4" legroom with no awkward right turn!
Which seat number is that
Wow what a flight!
I’m leaving for Shanghai, China on Wednesday and getting myself mentally prepared for the long 17 hour flight from Chicago. This video was great!
Wow! How was the trip?
Always fun to watch your reports. Your really good at narrating these and present a good assumption of the flight experience.
Phenomenal flight ✈️ plus great footage! Love the graceful wing design of this jumbo passenger jet liner!
Love all your videos, Jeb! I've watched all of them. I must say, this seemed like one of the more turbulent flights. Keep making your videos, they are great.
Liked the vid before watching cause your videos are always amazing!
Am I the only one or is there anyone else that is slowly starting to like the A350s
King Gator have a friend who is quite anti-Airbus but likes the A350.
This is me. The a350 is an acquired taste.
I was not a fan of Airbus. Didn't like the airbus at first. But was not until I watched the documentaries and the Lufthansa A350 pliotseye documentary that I changed my mind.
pilotseye.tv/en/route/en-boston-a350-lufthansas-next-topmodel/
The A350 is the template of future travel for me. The 787 just isn't as comfortable. More rattly in the cabin. I've flown the A350 a few times and, along with the A380, I think they're hands down the smoothest most comfortable planes. We took off from SIN enroute to DOH on Qatar & I barely even felt the plane leave the ground or any jolting on the acceleration, the take-off was exquisitely smooth, much like A380 take offs. I've rarely found 787 take offs to be like that (on a number of operators,Saudia,AirEuropa,Kenyan,BA,Qatar etc). The A350 is fabulous.
No, you're not the only one....it already grew on me....this plane is freaking sexy......I like the curved nose, windshield and the wingtip.....this 350 is gonna put Boeing on its toes
4:00
Hype man: starts counting down, saying 3
Rest of the passengers: say 2
Some dude: repeats 3
Yeahhhhh that snow covered Canadian view was absolutely AMAZING.
I like most how you convey you are so thankful for the opportunities you get to experience. What I would give to have one AMAZZZZZING trip or FLIGHT such as you. I'm jealous. Yet, I know how grateful and truly thankful you are.
And thank you for allowing me to share many of your experiences.
I actually flew on my flight sim infinite flight from Singapore to New York JFK with the A380-800 and it took me 18 and a half hrs. It was quite fun
XA613RZ Infinite Flight no you didn't shut up
You don't know what you're talking about so there's no point in arguing with you
XA613RZ Infinite Flight Infinite flight is not a sim, it’s a game.Get a real sim like P3D or X-Plane.
that's your opinion
@@XA395XA your a non aviator, The flight sim is realistic and does real time so he isnt lying and its not a real flight so shh. I do 11 hour flights on it all the time.
My lord It's only been a little over a hundred years since the Wright Brothers took flight, Anazing. Great video.
I'm so jealous and envious I can hardly breathe. Lucky you!!!!!
That was beyond my favorite video and some really incredible views. I want to fly Singapore Airlines A350 know.
Jeb, all of your videos are very good. I especially appreciate hearing all of your opinions about the seats, crew, etc.
I was expecting to see Sam Chui in the flight for I saw his vblog on the inaugural flight which Sam took the Premium Economy. So I was right. Haha...
Loved this, thank you! Amazing to be able to fly half way around the world non-stop!!
Jeb I love your compassion and how exuberant you are. The very best travel videos on the internet! Thank you so much.
Great Video, I would love to see full take offs and landings.
Jeb and Sam in the Same video for the second time,And on The worlds longest flight too,That's all I wanted.
Fabric refresh and crease release are actual useful for me... great addition! Most of the things they give us in amenity kits in-flight I never use (or even open the kit... usually save it and pass it on to family members that collect them). Another great video -- thanks for sharing!
Very cool you were able to fly this route. I’ve read about this route and always wanted to experience it. Watching your video is the next best thing.
Great video! When I travel to my location, I hate stopping for hours to transfer. I love non stop flights. Been to Singapore many times, never in a 350 and definitely always economy 😁
That flight must take you as far as you can go across the earth before you start to come back round the other way to where you started :D
I've been watching you for a while. You are equally humble and gracious in all of the videos I have seen. I'm definitely going to subscribe.
I flew JFK-BKK in 2006 when Thai had the flight. Very similar route. Took off at noon and because I did it in July, the entire flight was in full sunlight. Because we were above the arctic circle before sunset and slipped over the top of the Earth for morning in Asia. It was so neat.
!st video reviewing this SQ flight!! congrats Jeb!!!
Nice job, Jeb!! It's very cool that you got to be on that flight. I just have one critique on this video: the volume is very irregular at times, especially in the first half of the video. In the future, consider maintaining a more consistent volume when editing, so the sound doesn't go from very loud to very soft! All in all, great job and I enjoyed the footage. All the UA-camrs like to say: "Just like that, the world has become a smaller place", and that's true! :-)
It looked like when the arff truck was doing the water cannon salute it had both turrets running. One on the roof and the other is a bumper mounted turret. It looked like the one on the roof was straight and the bumper turret was being moved around. Awesome video as always, can’t wait for more once the rona allows us to travel again. I’ve already been pricing out my first international flight to go to Dublin next summer!
I have followed Sam’s channel for a long time, imagine my surprise when I see him pop up on one of your videos. You both create great content. I have been following Sam lately as he is learning to be a pilot himself, and his videos have a little more technical focus, but I like yours from the standpoint of a traveler.
Only Business and Premium Economy? I wish all long haul planes had that!
Jeb, great video as always! At 11:29, the Captain mentioned about flying near 87 deg north latitude. That reminded me of a regulation I had read earlier in my Airline Transport Pilot written exam prep book. 14 CFR Part 121.7: The FAA requires U.S. operators to obtain approval prior to conducting polar operations (a) The North Pole area of operations includes the entire area north of 78 deg N latitude or the entire area south of 60 deg S latitude. Of course Singapore Airlines isn’t operating under the FAA but I found it funny that I had just read that regulation and then watched your video where the crew actually mentioned flying in a polar area! I’m easily amused!
The way Jeb found the best excuse to flex his Rolex at 6:07 is just hilarious 😂😂😂
What beautiful sights! This is one of my more favorites of your flights.
A350 ULR is great aircraft thanks AIRBUS
sam chui is in premium economy seat and you're on business clalss seat..
I agree....!!!!!!!!!! What" s the deal with that?????
Ya
sam chui is broke aft so many first or business class trips lol
nik arev he be flying freebies. They prob gave him that ticket
Poor pampered Sam
There was a time in my life when I hated business class because I couldn’t fly it. Hated walking through the plane and seeing those seats and going to economy. But now I’ve graduated to J I get so excited seeing these videos as I can actually try them out. Can’t wait for BA’s new suites, these are not on the route I fly, wish they were!
Love your Batman, I heard today it’s been discontinued so good for you that’s something to hold on to.
This vid was uploaded on my Birthday! Wish my birthday gift was this revolutionary flight.
10:59 *Boeing 787 dreamliner* "Am I a joke to you?"
Guilherme Eloy yup
nah 787 wing is not the best. Definitely the a350!
ABC XYZ
Flat?
ABC XYZ
Personally, I prefer the raked wing tips of the 787, 777X, etc.
No for me the smooth winglet is better.
The 787 dreamliner just has a great wing flex.
The A350 is the most beautiful plane built probably since either Concorde or the original 747, whichever which you prefer.
A340-600
Thank you so much for sharing, Jeb. That was an extremely long flight.
I have yet to board an A350, but I have flown Singapore Airlines (B777) and it was outstanding, from the service to the food to the comfort. I wish you had mentioned something about Changi Airport, one of the best international airports on the planet. My trip was from Atlanta to Surabaya, Indonesia. Unfortunately it was not non-stop and took over 30 hours. From ATL-NY-Paris-Moscow-Singapore-Surabaya. I boarded the Singapore Airlines flight in Moscow and it was the best leg of the flight. Thanks for the upload!
Eighteen hours on the same plane as Sam Chui? I'd rather chew glass.
hahaha
I have flown several times with Air France in La Première and was amazed at the space and comfort. Have you done a test run?
Jeb, you nailed it again! Just the sort of information I want. Of course in a flight that long there are going to be some problems and you got them. There is enough info here to help me make an informed decision. I can't believe I haven't come across your reports before now. I was employed in the aviation industry for for 42 years, firstly in the commercial area but mostly (39 years in Flight operations) so you will understand my interest in your reports and my interest in the information therein. This is my hobby now, flying and in the highest class available, what else will I do with my money? Cheers mate!
Thanks for your outstanding review of this flight.
14:41 xD
Airbus A380 ya haha just noticed that!
😂😂😂
okay teacher here's my art drawing of a *PINGAS*
HAHA what a hell! laughed hard
LOL
At 2:10, there's the guy in the Wall Street Journal video!
sam chui!!! love that you two got to experience this amazing flight together!! amazing video :)
Enjoyed this video
Beautiful from the sky
6:13 no need to flex your Rolex on us damn
Dpw Gaming dead 🤣👌
Stunning video and definitely the way to travel , maybe try the premium economy as that would probably be more beneficial as I should imagine most of us would afford that more than the business product , only a suggestion my friend cheers👍🇬🇧
Another EXCELLENT video. Thanks for sharing your adventures 😊
Your cinematography is top notch! Great work especially with the smooth, steady external shots!
AWW ONG I LOVE SAM
I'm flying SIN-EWR in January. I could of gotten the same price to SFO (where I'm going), but I decided to fly SIN-EWR and double back! I see TPG Zach Honig was on board as well.
I am so glad I happened upon your channel. I loved this video, and subscribed. As someone unable to travel, I will be traveling vicariously through you frequently, my friend. Thank you, and God bless!
What i like from Sam video is he can even go to the cockpit and have a word from the Pilots...lol...he's really an Airline babe!!!...and you have a different style of coverage too...good job...
Those headphones look like Bose QC Headphones. They probably re-badged them.
Great Video!
I would recommend not fast-forwarding the take-off as it is such an incredible feeling to hear those engines roar.
Dual time watches rule Jefferson !! It's a real treat for the eyes to watch you mate ...
Love all ur trips u do jeb
I really liked the video and your review, however I would prefer if the takeoff roll and landing were not sped up, or spoken over. As an aviation enthusiast, seeing the wing/engine on this gorgeous aircraft during takeoff and landing is always a treat to behold. Nonetheless, good job
Ditto on the takeoff being sped up. I watch a bunch of flight report videos and it seems like everybody insists on speeding up the takeoff. Don't DO IT.. Please!
Although business, I probably would have preferred travelling with a stop-over. I feel 18 and a half hours is way too long to be on a plane
Jeb you do a great job of telling us about the train or aircraft. Thanks so much.
Great review! Thanks for sharing and look forward to looking at more flight with you.
