13:30 it's so funny, im sure that is definitely wrong way, ive never heard that dip the dumpling in the seaweed soup. they may say drink the soup first then eat it, but the soup is the soup inside the dumpling if you eat it directly your mouth could be burned.
I just love the way you eat. Makes me hungry and a nice tour of Shanghai.it’s amazing with all that food you eat, you never gain weight.thank you for the awesome tour of Shanghai great blog
Im so happy to see you visit shanghai. I was born and rasie up there, really love this city from bottom of my heart. Shanghai for me is like a the place that you left the last time you were here,is nothing like the place you'll return to. Probably this is the main reason that i live this city so much, hope you had a wonderful trip and wish you can come back again. I will back to shanghai at the end of this month, and will not leave again.
Hi David, Yum the pot, buns look fabulous and that breakfast crepe looked insane. All the food, the dumplings and the soup looks so good, I would love to experience what you must experienced my friend.
Did David say Chinese dosa.....he really loves his chillis and spices. I would kill for Chinese food.....only order 2 things all the time. Chicken fried rice& honey prawns...yummmmmmmm
Dude David that was a crazy amount of food you had in this episode just for breakfast. I would have been satisfied with only those 2 dumplings you had at the start. But, everything looked really good.
Just watched you in India and in Korea with Sam love that you do food and take us to shrines and with!d life parks as well thankyou David hi from the uk
Its 佳(Jia, means good)家(Jia(coincidentally has the same pronunciation as 佳), means home)汤(Tang, means soup)包(Bao, means bun, same character as Bao in Xiao Long Bao). So you can call this restaurant Good Home Soup Dumplings or Jia Jia Soup Dumplings, which sounds like Jar Jar Binks' retirement plan.
Enjoying the Shanghai series. Will be in Shanghai in October so this is more than welcome. I like it that you name the streets. Are you going to Tianzifang too?
North Indian food is so good though! I really enjoy the naan with dishes like butter chicken and palak paneer. So, so good. I also like Chinese food :)
I have a layover in Shanghai for less than 24 hours, so I am going to this street & following your recommendations! That scallion pancake looks soooooo good 🤤😭🤤
Loved your video. The dumplings you ate at Jia Jia Tang Bao are Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and it is a Shanghai specialty. Usually people eat it with vinegar or by itself. I am a bit surprised that you did not know it though.
You’re supposed to bite and make a small hole in the dumpling skin of the soups dumplings and then slurp the juice that comes out of it and then eat the dumpling. This way you won’t burn your mouth. These come out super hot and it’s dangerous if you don’t know the right way to eat it. You are also supposed to eat it with vinegar. I’m surprised there wasn’t any there.
Hey David. I love your videos and I am big time foodie as well. Next time when you come to India please do visit Kerala - the Gods own country. You will surely taste some new delicacies and authentic Kerala Thali which is called Sadhya here. Hope to see you soon mate. Please do visit Kerala
Asma Ahmed don’t forget this is his profession too and he does not want to be rude to his subscribers. always polite, either make it or fake it. Did not you see David smiling on the irritating tiring bumpy roads when even the locals complain?
3:30 it's so funny, im sure that is definitely wrong way, ive never heard that dip the dumpling in the seaweed soup. they may say drink the soup first then eat it, but the soup is the soup inside the dumpling if you eat it directly your mouth could be burned.
Im from Shanghai and i agree with ur point bhai!We should use more paper bags but just because plastics are cheaper than papers there so thats the reason why they using plastic bags i guess:D
Your way to eat Xiaolong Bao is wrong. when u eat it with one bite, your mouse will get hurt, because it is extremely hot. what u should do before you eat are holding it on spoon , taking a little bite on its surface, and sucking the suppen inside carefully
it is so clean everywhere..very nice..indians should learn from chinese people mainly north indians like biharis and UP people..do not you feel ashamed of yourself?

Great video David. One small correction, Chinese currency is called Yuan ( or RMB). Yen is Japanese currency. :D

For the soup dumpling, we usually bite a little hole on it and blow then eat it so it will not be too hot :)

The second one you ate is a Shumai (or Shaomai in Mandarin).
Noticed everyone's bundled up. When were you there?
He was there in April. In the previous video you could see a date on the elevator.

Is there any food in this world that you dislike??? 🤣🤣🤣 u seem to enjoy everything.
Asma Ahmed I was literally thinking this! He enjoys everything he eats it is unbelievable! Personally there are a lot of foods that I don’t like 😂
Asma Ahmed don’t forget this is his profession too and he does not want to be rude to his subscribers. always polite, either make it or fake it. Did not you see David smiling on the irritating tiring bumpy roads when even the locals complain?
Well we know he hates fish with bones 😂😂😂
Asma Ahmed when he enjoying the food in India is shocked me, those things looks horrible
First view first like
BTW you so much resemble to Coldplay's Chris Martin.🙂
Just that David is more interesting and Martin is a bit boring. Their music makes you cold, really.
I like the way you do marketing for your family
David we'd love to see your family and their reactions once you'r back home

Boy to Boy, Chinese Dosa it seems, You are so so Indian! :)
However, why is such high usage of plastic cover here, aren't there any alternatives?
I got surprised too watching it. But atleast they don't throw it on streets like here.
And putting hot food in polythene bags!!! I wonder why don't they use paper bags instead
Im from Shanghai and i agree with ur point bhai!We should use more paper bags but just because plastics are cheaper than papers there so thats the reason why they using plastic bags i guess:D
@@dawsonhanga5331 It's the same reason in India as well and I guess most places in the world.
Most of the plastic bags used in China today are degradable, so there is not much difference
Shao long bao means soups dumplings
I am from Assam. I like to eat dumplings (momo)
Wowwwwww.
