V6 with a loopy cam... I learned something new today. Sounds great. I personally wished that the downrev wasn't so resonating in it's metal housing. Other than, what a deep growl.
I keep watching this for inspiration. My son and I are building his '97 Camaro with a similar combination. Smaller cam- 206/216 (it's not exactly what I wanted, but it was cost effective and in the ballpark), 90# springs, dual timing set, porting the heads, headers, true duals, S10 2.2 converter, 3.42 posi (factory Y87 car). Have you ever had it to the track? if so, what did it run?
Great sound recently i build my 3800 camaro I hope it sound like that when I get to the muffler shop on Friday because it still on open headers and yes I put a compcam to
hey man. i have a firebird 3.8 v6 i wanted to put it some headers but i couldn't managed to get the oxygen sensors. also all the mechanics would tell me it was impossible to run two long tube headers on each side all the way to the back. can you give me a little bit of info of how you managed to get it done?
Sounds good. Glad to see you got your Angry bird together again. BTW... are those 16 or 17" stock wheels? I tend to forget how good looking the stock wheels are.
Did you have to do anything with the camshaft position sensor when you did the cam? I have a 2001 impala and I'm not sure if I need to do anything with the sensor. Anybody who responds will be appreciated.
0:52 That "T pipe" xD definitely hurt performance.
See lot's of Grand Prix GTP's with mods; this FireBird looks and sounds great! Bet it's fast!

Sorry for the car being totalled buddy sounded fucking BEAST!
Did you had to make an adapter to make the S-10/2.2 Torque Converter fit?
Following
That’s a badass v6 car
Wait, Grand Prix 3800 Series III? From what I keep hearing the FWD 3800s won't bolt up to the RWD transmissions, how'd you get that to work.
Yes they will, same bell housing
By far the meanest v6 I've ever heard!
You still got that whisper lid? Been trying to find one but they're rare now
yep
Nice build ! Why not dual exhaust ? All that work ur putting in it i would have diffently gone dual exhaust with an h pipe ..
Tastefully done. I like the Pontiac Blue under the hood, nice touch.
i have the same 3800 in my 98 camaro, how did you get your emgine to sound so raspy i love it!

How do u have that color intake I used some old industrial paint and it’s the same color I thought I was the only one. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's Pontiac Blue engine enamel
Sorry for being a few years late on commenting haha. Just wondering when you had this set up did you ever wish for more power or this was fun enough?
Can you give me more info on s10 stall
2.2L S10 converter. Stalls higher in the 3.8 due to more torque.
is there much difference between the series 2 and the series 3 3.8? im about to buy a firebird but its a series 2
corey harrison all fbodies are series 2 so that really shouldnt matter
how much horse power to the wheels with your setup?
Sounds good man.

Victor Rocha the headers pace setter sells for the 3800 are mid length not long tubes
Yeah it sounds way better, I love it.

paul hutton Unless the cam position sensor is bad you shouldn't have to touch it.
paul hutton you shouldn't have to I have a 97 Camaro with a 3800 and I put a gt1 cam in and didn't have to do anything to the CPS
Nice bro. Been thinking about building a tt 3.8 and putting in a lesabre as a sleeper.
what size are your rims an tires bro
Is he driving in a parking lot..
Cant you just go on a long shot, you turn every 5 seconds!
thats so he can flex and show his tats im guessing .. Id rather see gauges or the road but you know Napoleon
Can't stand the popping. Add on a resonator and keep the high flow cat if you haven't already!
Who dis iz?????????
Swap a cheap 5.3 or 6.0 in it youl need a few things but it's easy. I made a video about what you can reuse, its on my channel.
doesnt sound bad, but all those parts and work into an auto? my manual bird is just so much more fun than the auto
That's the worst muffler ever
