Great guide, bro! My biggest takeaway from this video was the importance of Prayer of mending off cd. After watching this yesterday, pom was my top 3 healing, and I was able to move up 400cr in solo shuffle which I was hard stuck as the lower cr games are full of terrible dps players who can't kill anything. I also found as holy priest we hardly ever get targeted, so I've taken Zens build from last season, 6%vers 45% mastery with 35% haste feels insane! Thanks for the guide!

Thanks for the guide! Would you like to introduce more about comps? Holy/Disc which one is better with double melee in general?
I would say holy priest is better healing double meele than disc priest. I have played ret/war/holy priest to 2.5 in 3s this season but I would not recommend it. Priest is better in setup comps rather than long dampen games but to be honest any comp can work at lower rating :) I would recommend playing comps such as: rmp, thug, php, jungle, ww/sub/hpriest, or a double caster comp (with you playing stun). All of these comps are viable :) I got glad this season playing thug and ret war hpriest :)
Do you play Disc at all? If so, can you do a Disc Guide just like this!! Very helpful.
I do play disc occasionally although I am a holy priest main. I will make a guide in the near future for disc :)

@@serveywow Nice! Just started on H.Priest and I'm on my way up to 2100 (2040 now). Finding Lightwell to be pretttty good in SS, but I often have to let people know what they are so they don't run away from them!

I love undead for the extra fear trinket, but nightelf is also very strong due to meld (very good to avoid cc and instantly drop combat to drink if you have no mana in 3v3) I play both. :)
Void elf is a LOT OF FUN too! You get passives like increased DMG and healing, no push back on casts when damaged. And this neat racial that you can use to set up fears out of nowhere/reposition :)

Very useful video. You mentioned mana regen 10% talent + Symbol of hope 10% mana back. Great to know 30 secs cooldown defensive back also. Unfortunately still losing with oom. Is there tips for people like me, losing games just because holy is not good with mana?
Things you might be pressing too much is power word shield and renew. These buttons are very mana expensive and kind of unnecessary. Shield is bad for holy priest, I only use it when either I’m desperate and have no other buttons to press or I’ll use it on a rogue to get a clean restealth. I also rely heavily on my tier set and prayer of mending (talent benediction) to reapply renew. You can also start replacing flash heal with heal in less stressful moments as this is more mana efficient. Also, using spirit of redemption on their major offensive CDs is important as it is mana-free healing where you would usually spend a lot. Getting 2 or even 3 spirits off a game helps so much with mana. I’ve won many games with 0 mana but I managed to get a spirit hymm off and top everyone. Hope this helps, but know I go oom too some games and priest is just bad with mana regen. Personally I think it should be buffed! Good luck :)

Great guide. I have a question regarding the tier. Since a holy word needs to be on CD for you to be able to get a procc. I usually sanctify instantly out the gates since you’re doing Pom and renews the first globals anyway and the chances of getting one instantly is kinda big.
Thoughts on this?
Holy word does not need to be on CD for the tier to proc! And renew does not need to actually heal to proc too! So I usually renew everyone at 100% health once the gates open and I get a proc before the game even starts :) also it’s important to always use your proc on serenity, as this is your main heal!

Hey man for some reason I can't cast Shadow Word: Death on me, it always says you need a target, is there any catch to do it to avoid poly, etc?
You need to use shadow word : death on an enemy player but be aware it breaks CC!
Hi there, which keybinds do you use for targetting teammates? I’m starting pvp from pve, and so used to hover casting team, and manyally targetting teammates feels unnatural
I have my party frame UI close to my character (with large raid frames) and I click on the frames to switch team mates. I know many people have macros to swap team mates but I’ve healed this way for years and it feels very natural to me. Just try see what works best for you :)

Is there ever any value in casting heal? Just watched skillcapped vid and they included it in sustained rotation but all this time I’ve never used it, just flash heal
If the game is going slow (perhaps they are running behind pillar) and you are in a safe position and have time to cast heal then it is worth to be more mana efficient. But I rarely cast it as the game is usually too fast paced

@@allotriosapolis4010 you can craft your own PvP gear now for all slots! I recommend you do this. There will be plenty of guides on UA-cam showing you how :)

nice video, good in depth walkthrough, however the constant moving/flying around and opening / closing talent panel was extremely distracting and annoying. Would also recommend having some footage of maybe solos or 3s or something to show and breakdown so we actually see some of the concepts in play instead of just talking about it. Would also love to hear more about positioning and targeting binds and etc.
