Options for newer heavier phones have been using camera gimbals with a phone adapter. DJI OM6 simply doesn't have the load capacity. We used them for RE videos and the shaking with an iPhone 15 or S24 was terrible. Another Smooth 5S worked with those phones but any hard pans knocked it out of balance like the OM6 was prone to do. The M7 is solid. Both DJI and Zhihun need to make gimbals that have the payload needed. OTOH you can be a standard gimbal for cameras that should handle any phone, but it you need a gimbal for Portrait/Landscape options on camera gimbals with adapters, there are limiting factors as well. Several of our RE shooters in our company have chosen the M7. Again there are smaller sized camera gimbals that have greater load capacity can may be a better option. In terms the the tracking, stability, and features, if you need a phone gimbal for a bigger phone, I'd strongly suggest the M7.
To be fair the hohem m7 is basically a watered down camera gimbal, their mt2. I got the m7 because of the remote and it being cheaper than the other one. This review should compare the om6 with the hohem v3 which is as light and compact as the om6.
there are two things about the dji that for me it makes it better. Small and space for audio receiver. May we are able to place a receiver at the Hohem?
I just got the M7. The remote does not have any idicator if your video is recording or stopped. So if you are using your phones primary good camara, and your recording yourself, the back of the phone will be facing you. In this configuration you do not know if your recording is stopped or recording, you literaly have to walk over to the phone and look a the screen of the phone... the remote has no indication that its recording. I found this very strange as this would be a widely used setup for recording yourself performing tasks.
To be fair DJI OM6 has had at least 6 firmware updates, going back to 9-22-2022. That's two and a half years and 6+ rounds of bug fixes. Hohem has had ONE firmware update. I am reasonably certain Hohem will resolve some, if not all of the subject identification and re-aquisition issues you experienced. Thanks for the vs. Can you compare Hohem's M7 to gimbals more similar in design and ff$ target market, such as Zhiyun Smooth 5S? Thanks!
I really like the Smooth 5S for battery life and ease of use. It can handle bigger phones without a case. With a case, the 5S can have motor issues during hard pans (roll axis flop just like the DJI), in PF, or Follow modes. Another great option is the Weebill 3E at a similar price point.
@@Nightmarebyilke I used it with the 15 pro max and unless the battery was fully charged it would not work right. The OM6 is in a different class of gimbal, the M7 is for serious work, the OM6 is really suited for travel and smaller phones due its ability to deploy quickly and small footprint.
@ pretty sure ur 15 pro max is less in weight then 14 pro max since its made of titanium, point was they are comparing 2 different class of gimble in the video, not only that but one of them was 3 years old
EVERY gimbal is superfluous. I bought the Insta360 Flow last year and haven't even used it properly yet. If anyone wants it, I'd be happy to sell it. I also have decent stabilization with the Blackmagic Cam app.

@@Natsukashii1111 DJI only has the OM6 for mobile. Perhaps OM7 will have more promise.
How was hohem software updates??

Same question here
Yes can
The motors are way more powerful so I put a rode mic, a ring light and my phone. I could add more like a lexar ssd but I don't own one

Google Pixel 9X is great for taking photos and recording videos, especially Video Boost. ❤
This is great thank you very much ❤

I mean Dji osmo 6 is like 3 years old at this point, plus for easy setup is still better compared to bulky hohem.
Also the dji Just costs 1/3 at this Point.
@@Nightmarebyilke the OM6 does not compare- especially since it can’t handle a big phone - the OM6 compares to the foldable V3 the best

More things to see.
a BIG UPGARDE !
The payload is garbage on the OM6 compared to the 500g on the M7
Not to mention infinite panning, and the tilt on OM6 is what, 15 degrees? Very different target market.
useful
How does it make sense to compare a 100€ gimbal and a 300€ gimbal? Of course the 300€ one has to be better 😑
Popularity maybe? Idk.
M7 is over €200
The screen, AI module, light, larger motors, and larger battery are the price differences. Comparison was requested from viewers.
