One of his best covers, truly brilliant guitar playing. There is something special whenever Tommy covers Gary Moore, you can clearly see that Gary was his greatest idol. Since you are on a Nightwish jurney too, I'd recommend you to see both Nightwish (with Tarja) and Tommy's cover of Gary's Over The Hills And Far Away. Not to see who's better, that is nonsense and very subjective, but to enjoy 2 amazing covers of equally amazing song
Team Tommy checking in from the California desert! Gary Moore was Tommy's childhood hero, and inspiration to pick up a guitar! He does actually have some videos up of 'how to play' certain songs! He refers to some quick finger-work as "fiddly-dos" ! And, fun fact...Tommy cannot whistle! Suggest his 20th aniversary re-play of his iwn song, The Light. Recorded by his 1st band, ReinXeed (pron: Rain-Seed). Video on his channel.
TEAM TOMMY!!☀️I knew you would like this .. Tommy made me appreciate guitar playing and this was the first song when I realized that 🤣 .. Tommy actually did do guitar lessons over internet during Covid but he is to busy nowerdays (Sabaton touring schedule are no joke) .. But he has some really good play through‘s on his channel and the “fidelity do” video that Amy mentioned .. funniest and mot informative lesson I’ve ever seen .. not reaction material perhaps but watch that one just for your (tell us what you thought afterwards ☺️) . Could be a fun combo to react to the actual cover of “over the hills and far away” afterwards.😉 .. and take Amy advice and do the light 20th anniversary. Still to this day my absolute favourite.. that song IS Tommy . He wrote it himself when he was 14-16 years old and first recorded it, with his band, when he. Was 18 .. it blew my mind the first time I heard it 🔥
Since you requested some devilhorns from 'Team Tommy' in the comments, here they are:🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Happy to oblige. Also, you said you want Tommy to be your guitar teacher. During Covid lockdown he actually gave guitar lessons to people on Skype. So you just have to go back in a timemachine! And - 'Empty Rooms' is the most dreamy song, especially in Tommys version. Very relaxing!
Tommy is slways special and while playing a Gary Moore cover: extra, extra special. The late friend he dedicated his Sound of Silence to, bequethed him him his bass.
ua-cam.com/video/btO_oZHK1RE/v-deo.html Tommy playing with friends at a tribute evening for Phil Lynott earlier this year. Listen and enjoy! PS you could do Tommy's Sound of Silence next.
Love this solo, the guitar talks, weeps, sings, a masters work with the whammy bar! Great bass solo too. Actually Tommy have some how to play the song lessons on his channel. Ps I would also love Tommy learn me some guitar skills 30 years ago but Im pretty sure I was better than him then.Haha Ds
I just get goosebumps every time he sings! 😊
I agree with Marina, this is one of his best covers, love the depth of emotion in this song ,vocally and instrumentally.🎸🔥♥️
React to anything Tommy does. Most appreciated! 😊

Tommy based this cover version in Gary Moore's 1987 Stockholm concert (I wonder why...ha), even to doing Bob Daisley's bass solo....Amazing.

Thank you so much and I'll keep note of that 😁
Protest I heard him whistle two notes in a interview recently and he got some palt of them to eat. Tommy was really happy for the palt!
I see every musicvideo on youtube with Tommy and this Is the best solo so far with him. You can really feel hes love and feeling for Gary Moore❤
Helt fantastiskt, jag måste höra den här sången varje dag.

During corona, Tommy had private guitar lessons online, maybe it will come back at some point. This solo is unbelievable ✨️✨️✨️
I 100% agree with you!!!

Tommy is just ✨🤘. Gary played a couple of Jimi Hendrix songs, like Voodoo Child, Red House, really great solo's, really great!
Great reaction! The guitar work in this song is beyond epic.
sounds fantastic 💯

Great bass solo too.

And imagine Gary's original solo sounds better than this one, and it is a live version, just tells you how good Moore was.
@@alexgasparini4548 I know seen him live 3 times 2 with Lizzy and 1 as supporting act to Queen.
@@KentLundberg-vb9hb damn lucky you! I wish I discovered Gary before his passing.
