- Halawet el Jibn is a Levantine dessert made of a semolina and cheese dough, served with sugar syrup flavored with orange blossom water or rose water. Very tasty and delicate sweet. I hope you enjoy it.
For sugar syrup you need:
3 cups sugar
2 cups water
less than 1/4 tsp citric acid
1 tsp orange blossom water
For cheese dough:
1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup medium semolina ( for those who live in North America i used number 2 semolina )
1 tsp orange blossom water
200 g fresh unsalted mozzarella cheese
For filling:
Ricotta cheese ( I used about 700 g of Ricotta cheese for this recipe)
